If they were just difficult to deal with, it'd be tolerable. The large critters are just bullshit with weird hit box that are tiny and hard for you to hit, but easy for them to hit you with their melee charge. Or how they are supposed to be fighting but doesn't actually deal any amount of damage to each other, or how they will all stop and gang up on the players even if they did nothing and are far away.
The worst thing is that you spend considerably more effort and time against these giant critters for absolutely no reward.
Really makes you wonder what were they thinking in the first place.
I am aware that they have even reduced their health. It is still off.
I can take down a Venatori Brute or Red Templar Behemoth with a point blank Leaping Shot; yet the same attack leaves a basic Hyena with 1/3 health.
That is a problem with Inquisition taken over from the SP in general, however - a classic case of BioWare's odd habit of overresponding to criticism. People didn't like DA2's overbearing amount of trash mobs, so they turned every enemy "meaningful" by simply giving them ridiculous amounts of health. After my Nightmare playthrough, I set the difficulty down to Hard solely because I was getting very tired of executing the same routine of destruction on every basic cookie-cutter-enemy at least four times (without them fighting back in any noteworthy way whatsoever, mind you) until they finally have the decency to croak.

.
Not possible since behemoths and brutes have higher health values than hyenas.

It's more of a hitbox problem then.

Odd how a 8 foot monster has a larger hitbox than a knee height dog isnt it?

If you observe how they are usually aimed in a straight line around their "ankles" with only the inner 3-4 projectiles visibly connecting, while canines eat a full broadside each time, yes indeed.
You are free to continue exposing my stupidity, only now you're going to have to do it over a nice cup of tea. Good luck staying vindictive over biscuits and earl grey!

I suppose you could say that the demons got a bit more uppity since the fix.

EDIT: Oh yeah, forgot to mention: I hate demons with a deep, seething passion. Namely those pop-up bastages. #shakefist
