Personally would love to see the Krogan return, if the genophage cure was the canon choice in ME3, I would love to see the Krogan play a bigger part in the ME universe, as well as some non-council races such as Quarians, some form of Geth or even Drell, just to see the advances they would of made in light of the Reaper attacks, but some new races as well would be great, what would you think?
New and returning races?

There are probably not going to be any canon choices or a canon in general.
A krogan squadmate is all but confirmed btw.

Great, hoping it's a link to either Grunt or Wrex because those two always kicked ass!

Oh kind GODESS, hear my plea!
Who in their right mind would go without expert mind melding people to the Uncharted lands?
Send us Asari, so the mission is not bound to fail out of the blue.
Flay those with your mind, who only want Asari sex slaves. Anthropocentric dicks that they are.

I hope not. Any link back would mean they'd have to canonize something.

Fair point
takes away the meaning of choice doesn't it? Oh well I guess I'm being too optimistic about the whole thing

I swear to God Asari should be in Andromeda, wouldn't be surprised if they're the first ones who discover a way to even get there from the Milky Way.

So, are they going to circumvent the question whether the genopage was cured or not? The news of what happened at Tuchanka didn't get through? Maybe the ship to Andromeda started before the events? It's a sleeper ship (with the crew hibernating in stasis)?

My money is on leaving before ME3's events started.
If they left in the far future, long after the endings... then I see no way to do that without canonizing an ending. Refusal would be difficult, since that would wipe out humanity and all other species in the galaxy but perhaps some got away in time. Control would mean there are still Reapers everywhere. Why is there no Reaper coming with us to Andromeda? Ditto for synthesis, which also has the additional problem of glowing green nonsense in every character. Destroy would work, too... only, why would they even go to another galaxy when they have won?

If I'm not mistaken, Andromeda is based long after the events of ME3, so some things would have to be answered for right? and for the record Keelah se'lai ![]()

What I don't think is that there will be Geth aboard. At least not in platform form.

Yeah, maybe there will be some new types of synthetics, because of the time differences between ME3 and MEA, it's possible that a more advanced form of synthetics is either created, or even found within the Andromeda galaxy.

Do you really want a repeat of organics vs. synthetics that already didn't work in ME1-3? ![]()

Gotta be optimistic about the whole working together thing
if organics can't make anything synthetic without it turning on us, well then... Damn it ![]()

Everyone, including the Rachni, Elcor, Geth, Quarians and etc. I would put the Leviathans too even though that would be quite the stretching.
I think we should be able to pick some choices like is the genophage cured, are the geth and quarians at peace* and etc. This would add enormously to the replayability of the game.
*What if the Geth or the Quarians are dead? No Geth/Quarian companion? Survivor of their race maybe? Time will tell I guess.

What I meant is, we already went through that story and back again. Do you want to do that all over again?

Yeah I think that would be great, kind of like ME3 if you haven't imported a saved ME2 game, give you choices beforehand to kind of set the tone of the galaxy. Like in my playthrough, everyone pretty much got along to help stop the reapers, so seeing if they continued that relationship would be great to see.

Haha nah, I think I just want to see if that whole story actually had an impact between organic and synthetic relationships, not necessarily see a reskinned story of that war again.

Humans, Turians and Krogan are more or less confirmed as they are seen in the trailer. And I also expect to see Asari and Salarians on board. Quarians and Geth I don't expect because of the controversial choices in ME3.

Yeah, about what I expect. Council races I also expect to be there. Would love to see the races who weren't as prominent in the first three ME games to be relevant in a way, and have their sides explained more instead of through the codex.

The Krogans were bred to fight with a prolific birth rate, ergo the genophage once the Rachni Wars were over. These guys are not very cerebral... more of "..have gun, will travel" type.

Then what reason for the game?

I hope all the familiar species from the Milky Way get a seat on the ship headed to Andromeda.
The alien species with seats on the Council are a safe bet in my opinion. It would neither make sense from a lore perspective or from a game design perspective (Asari, Salarians, and Turians are all fan favorites) for Bioware to cut any of them from the sequel. I also think the Quarians are a safe bet due to the fan popularity of Tali, and by extension her species. The Krogan are also probably safe for similar reasons. All of those species also played a major role in The Reaper war. The rest are the ones that are questionable and could go either way, with the Volus probably having the best chances of making the trip out of the minor species. Since the Volus are vassals of the Turians it wouldn't make sense from a lore perspective for the Turians to leave them behind. If the Turians make the trip, so should the Volus.
The leaks, if legit, might be good news for Krogan fans. One of the rumored companions is a Krogan.
