The idea comes from something I mentioned in another thread but thiking about ME skill trees  while I don't find them to be terrible I have to say that I'd like more synergy between the skill than choosing between doing more damage or having a shorter cooldown. To give you an example of the kind of stuff I'd like to see I leave you with Destiny's talent calculator.

I'm not saying I'd like MEA to have these skill trees, but I'd like choices between stuff like say "Enemyes killed with throw give a buff to your next lift, allowing to lift one more close enemy" or "enemies that survive being hit by throw are left stunned for a short period." And yes, I am aware that ME3 skill trees had some good choices in them, but the only interaction between abilities were biotic and tech explosions, I'd just like some passive interactions like in the example I gave or the ones you can find in that talent calculator.

Great idea in my opinion, give it a Bioware spruce up. Give some more choices as to which class you choose, an example would be giving the soldier class more choices instead of just different ammo types, or expanding on the skills that biotics had in ME3. But yeah great idea  :)

EA's focus is on creating games that are easy to learn.  Meaning complexity must suffer the axe.

Skill synergy as described, goes against that philosophy. Yet, without Biotic/Tech combos, it wouldn't be a Mass Effect game. So, there is hope for additional Biotic Powers and Tech skill sets. However, I'm tempering that with the simplified combat found in DAI, which is ominous.

Thus, combat in ME:A will be less complex than before and the game's direction appears to be more MP like and less RPGish.  My heart want the Single Player game will be an awesome RPG, my head tells me it wont be.

That's my take on the issue.

That is why ME3 System is far less deep than it predecessors's... oh wait !

It would be quite easy to build on ME3 System, and simply add more "synergies options" into the skills trees, we already have a few like the "Freeze Combo" Rank 6 of Incinerate
