Just started downloading now... 10 mins for 3.5gigs... Seriously PSN.... The speeds suck.
Anyway I think majority of this is actually going to be the assets for the SP DLC.

Its about the same for me downloading from Xbox Live. I guess there could be something else limiting the speed at this point as my router is only 100 Mbit (in theory, most likely slower IRL). Either way, I find it reasonable.Just started downloading now... 10 mins for 3.5gigs... Seriously PSN.... The speeds suck.

The DLC assets are going to be used for
MP aswell ... somedays. Think MP deeproads map, darkspawn faction, etc,

On Xbox One. After DL there is a card for what seems to be a new character (Silent Sister one that ppl have been talking about maybe) and I noticed that in Heartbreaker there are now Templars and Demons. You can't craft new character armor yet, and nothing else showing so maybe a switch needs to be flipped to initiate any other new content.

This is like 3rd world download speeds! It's like i'm downloading from war torn Sudan or something! #FIRSTWORLDPROBLEMS

You still need the assets from SP if the new weapons and faction are deep roads related.

This download takes my internet roughly one full hour, and I have the "fastest" connection speed availible in my region.
Cheer up!
P.S.: I never host, out of sheer human decency.

Are you in the 3rd World?
Anyway... It finally downloaded and took FOREVS.... Like 8 min and 32 seconds of my life wasted only to find the already leaked patch notes in the Update Information.

If you live in an are that is rural or not densely populated, it's tough to get a fast connection. Fibre optic networks don't get installed where they aren't deemed financially profitable...

Internet is one of the most important resources and should always be considered financially profitable... Is your government not paying for your enlightenment?
I could be hiking in a remote mountain and still have faster internet than you.

I'd be packing up and moving away if you live in community like that. Next thing that you tell me is that don't believe in modern medicine.

New character is a yes. Silent sister. Seems to be it though. Nothing else showing for me. No new factions, challenges or anything else. I'm assuming they still have to flip a switch?
Also, IIRC its wise to not yet spend any money on chests until the devs give the all clear, so i'm holding off on dumping my money in chests as well.

I live in Oxford and I have a 100Mb Fibre Optic with Virgin. Others are not so fortunate. My parents live in a village where Virgin Media's headquarters are located. Funny thing is that whole area will never get Fibre Optic as there are a lot of tree roots. I'm sure you can appreciate that an area has to pass a feasibility study before a Telecomms company will begin to develop the exchange. YES the government does subsidise schemes to improve the system, but they are limited in the sense that the Telecomms companies have to decide where and if to invest the grant money....
