I made sure to get the personal challenge done this week to be able to get whatever the fifth chest ends up being next week. It didn't mark it as complete in the 4th part of the Book one challenge, and didn't give me the 4th chest.
Just wanting to see if I'm alone in my disappointment. 
No, most people have the same issue, unfortunately.
From what I've been able to surmise, everyone who had NOT yet completed the personal weekend challenge goal before the servers issues Sunday is suffering this effect of it seeming to not complete the 4th star of the Varric challenge.
I had finished it on Saturday, so my 4th star is showing correctly and I got the Varric chest for this weekend.
Once BioWare gets in the office, I'm sure they'll sort out a fix. I think they're already aware of the issue because I saw Jeff asking one of my friends yesterday on Twitter if her Varric quest gained a star or not (she was one of those affected by the server issues yesterday).

I'm sitting there on 145/150, waiting for some info, because it's the star I wanted the most, not the chest... So it's good to hear that they seem to be aware of this issue.
I'm so broken up about that. I was playing right when it happened, and I was ONE match away from completion. If I had managed it, I would have the star.
I really hope (Hunter's voice ^^) they fix it for the poor peeps (me included) who started to work on the challenge after the server issue...

Just checked HQ and it's gone completely now.... I had 4 stars on Friday.... hmmm
Not only that, but personal challenge also disappeared. It was supposed to be extended, right? Right? 
145/150... It physically hurts.
