Right so I did Cassandra's personal quest and got her the book of secrets and whatnot. However, doing so means that I am friends with Cassandra even though she pretty much despises me.

Dang. I just tried changing mine to say they weren't friends, and it says there's a conflict between:
Finding the book of secrets.
Restoring the Seeker Order.
Cassandra Romanced.
Doing her personal quest does seem like odd criteria for being friends or not.

Yeah, it doesn't take an account for people who were initially friends with her, did her personal quest and then proceeded to ****** her off afterwards.

Hmm, maybe they figure only a friend will get her personal quest in the first place. After which there's nothing you can do to defriend her, aside from discouraging her from rebuilding the Seekers?

Well her personal quest never popped up on my current playthrough with the sword and sheild book or whatever it was called.
There's loads of opportunities to ****** her off so I don't see why there is a contradiction with it. It isn't like that with the other companions.
