What happened to it? When I used to play, it had a lot of players. It was such an easy way to group up with experienced players, and now it's a ghost town.

Yep it was already dwindling down when I started playing a few months ago. Haven't seen anyone in it in a couple of months now. I'm speaking of r/dragonagecoop. I don't know if there are or were other ones in the past

Origin doesn't make it easy to idle in a chat room automatically.
I think that (and the dwindling population that encourages) is a significant part of the reason.
