I just completed the ones who rise up and I only got 3 stars. I had 4 stars last week before the mess up. WTF?????????????

I just completed against the impossible which also brought tales of the inquisition up to 5 stars so I should of had 3 freebie chests, but when I went to store I was only given 1 commendation chest. Am I supposed to go somewhere else for Varrics book chests? In assuming those are the ones I'm missing since the challenge for beating dragons says commendation chest, while Varrics just say chest.

Edit: just went through other posts and saw that it's already a known issue

EDIT to add: Until my Varric chest drops, I will remain convinced that was the one that contained my Superb Ring of Life-Drain. Cruelty, Blar, cruelty.

Also no varric chest dropped. When do we get them? I'm really frustrated at the moment.

Chests seem to not be dropping. Investigating, but don't worry, if we can't figure it out, we can go back and grant them to either the people who completed it, or everyone.

Additional FYI, not only is the 5/5 Varric Book 1 chest not dropping, but neither is the community victory chest on PS4 (and I'm hearing some of the other platforms are experiencing the same).

I can confirm this happened on PC as well. No chest for completing community challenge.

It seems I'm doomed to never finish Varric's book. I was free when the server issues happened. I wasn't this time.

 

And I can't return from work before the event ends.

They'll probably play fair,and give everyone the Varric's book callenge,or at least they should.It would be the easiest fix anyway.

Bioware confirmed "something" to be some time in the coming week, but did not specify what it was exactly or what day it would be released.  

 

... And this was immediately after referencing that darkspawn challenge.

Yea.. I'm sad to say I am amongst the ones who did not receive Varric's chests, and I didn't get the Victory chest either, only 2 commendation. Oh and I'm on PC.

Does the Varrics book challenge reset every 5 stars, or is a one time thing?

They really should have some chest bearing challenges which reset when completed, give us something else to grind for. Or perhaps give us a commendation chest every 5th time you prestige a character.

So the producer takes a day or two off and the programmers break everything without their moral support. Sounds about right.

 

Hoping this will get fixed soon. Or at least an update. No answer on twitter either. Seems a bit suspicious.

 

The only chest I got was the commendation chests for Ones Who Rise up & Against The Impossible.

I can confirm this happened on PC as well. No chest for completing community challenge.

Second confirmation for PC. No chest for community challenge and no chest from Varric. 

But... I noticed something else as well... It felt like I completed some of the challenges to fast. Got the feeling I got double points for completing a mission.
