They dropped support of 2 entire platforms so waiting for these  "amazing" new  things to happen now that there are no limitations. 

 

Also compare this DLC drop with the previous and one new character and a faction whose assets carry over from SP is a but meh.

Yes, they would have decided to drop the platforms long before the started development on the DLC. 

 

Well it's in none of the leaked patch notes,,, It literally states 1 new character, weapons and a Dark Spawn faction that will have high priority in rotation due to it being new.
