Hey, you at least have to give credit to the DLC's soundtrack. That was some good sound.

I don't recall Vasir hitting particularly hard, though. It was even lamer in the fact that her biotic charge was used striclty as a defensive tactic, rather than offensive. Vasir should have basically been to Shepard in ME2 what the clone was in ME3. Kai Leng, for all his Ninjarina flipping about, can at least do a lot of damage if he gets within melee range, though not having a ranged weapon like regular Phantoms made him dumb.

I like what you are proposing.

But, no, Bio won't do that. The console market demographic leans towards the simple and that is the segment EA wants to reach, followed by the mobile devices in the near future (or even now).

Look at DA:O. It has an AI script language and a PAUSE key for tactical considerations. EA took over the franchise and DA2 came along with a much faster combat pace and thankfully, retained the AI scripting language.. DAI has lots of eyecandy, simplified combat and no AI script

Mass Effect is a wonderful franchise with that one wart in ME3.  ME:A, as you suggest can be a much better game in every way including the combat ideas. But, it would clash with the MP formula =  shooter and button smashing = not a thinking game.

I'm really pessimistic about Bio moving ME:A into a tactical combat shooter or implementing, ** shudder **, Mike Laidlaw's view on tactics.

Mind you, what I'm proposing doesn't necessarily preclude head on assaults and simple, straight forward combat. That may be harder in certain situations, but it could still be viable. What I'm asking for is a system that gives us more options beyond that.

But, you're probably right.

I'd love it. That and ramping up the difficulty for hard and insane. ME:A doesn't need to become as punishing as Dark souls, but the difficulty level in ME3 was disappointing. Oh, and I want true bosses. Big ass epic bosses destroying cover and whatnot, if possible.
