1. The setting / The lore / The universe of ME --> Main reason why I palyed the games so far.

2. Exploration --> wasn't really fleshed out in the past but can be a huge bonus in the ucoming games. In a space adventure game exploration should be a must.

3. Gameplay, combat etc. --> self-evidently. It's a video game after all.

4. The Plot / the Story. --> Of course the story is important and Bioware should not believe this nonsense that their plot writing was so bad that they should abandon it in favor of romances and bromances. Their story writing was mostly ok, not really worse than their character writing. And a game without a decend story is a game without content for me, just gameplay.

5. Roleplaying / Choices --> Make a story always much more exciting.

6. Multiplayer --> Because ME3-multiplayer was awesome.

Numbers 1 to 5 are really hugely important for the next game imo, 6 is a bonus.

Edit: Did not stick completely to OP's list, but don't see why I should restrict myself. Other people have other preferences.

I hope the exploration feels more like a natural extension of the meat and potatoes story/character content rather than a separate thing.

DA:I isolated the story quests and much of the companion content from the overworld exploration and ME1's exploration with the uncharted worlds was completely separate from the main quest.

I also want random moments during exploration.  Like a random thresher maw (or the Andromedan[?] equivalent), and a mission that pops up out of know where to find an "easter egg" or something.

So I was thinking about all the aspects of any Mass Effect game and the things that are most important in the Mass Effect series, and narrowed them down to 6 points. I've decided to put these 6 points in a top 6 of what I personally find most important in Mass Effect.

1. Exploration
2. Combat
3. Squad Mates
4. Story
5. Choices & Consequences
6. Romances

What I personally find the most important I've put at the top, and what I find least important at the bottom. This is the order in which I hope BioWare will put their focus and resources for Mass Effect Andromeda.

Now I want you guys to take this list, and reorder the 6 points in the order of importance to you.

What do you think BioWare should put their focus on for Mass Effect Andromeda? Put that on 1. Then go from there all the way to what you find least important on 6.

I defenetly agree with the choices. From the videos I have listened to it seems like BIOWARE does plan on doing all of these. I am unsure about the whole jetpack deal thing...Oyay for a makoish vehicle.

6. Combat - I'm going to be in the vast minority here but I liked ME1 combat. I liked toying with my companions talents and I liked the heating system, and being able to pause. I even played with all the difficulties for fun. But going from ME1 combat to ME2 combat was not fun. I was not only disappointed by the streamlining, but I soon realized that I didn't care enough to learn how to play a shooter. As a result, I dropped the difficulty to easy for both ME2 et ME3, and I now send my companions to do all the hard work while I wait behind a crate for the combat to end so I can get to the fun part, the story. Needless to say, The Arrival was not my favorite DLC... While I would love it, I don't expect them to go back to ME1 mechanics, I expect them to go even more shooter-like, so all I'm asking here is to let me put the game on easy so that I can skip combat as much as possible.

You can pause combat and give orders in ME2 or 3 exactly the same way you can in ME1 you know.

The worst bit about moving from ME1 to ME2 was getting used to using the Shift key instead of Spacebar.

1. Exploration. Definitely at the top with the new galaxy and whatnot. Because it's going to be run on current gen consoles too instead of last gen, they should be sticking a lot more different planets to explore instead of planets to mine and get a little overview of them. Hopefully they're going to give the new Mako some significance and fun factor instead of just the Mako being there because it has to be.

2.Story. Without a great story, the game just isn't going to work for me. Depending on how far along into aliens colonising Andromeda, I'd like to see people working their way up into discovering Andromeda, and like the one said above, not be the most important person in the galaxy straight away.

3.Squadmates. Keeping up with the diversity the ME games have shown, I'd love for that to continue, possibly add more choices for squadmates, keeping the diversity going.

4. Choices and Consequences. The choices for me in ME were above average for me. Keep the choices you make seem to matter, and give them all a type of importance, instead of ranging from "who gets to lead the second Salarian squad" to choosing who to let die. I don't know, maybe some choices seem trivial at first and then end up deciding the fate of an entire species.

5.Combat. To me combat in Me games and improved in each game, and with ME3 in my opinion, having the best combat out of the three, Bioware have a great platform to work on and improve the game.

6. Romance. yeah romance is nice in the game, and it gives a little more reason to talk to your squadmates, but it's not a priority to me.

yeah that's probably the same with me actually and also what I think is the order of things most of the time at Bioware anyway. I think combat in Bioware's games does take a back seat in Bioware's games and it's not overly complicated and actually I quite like that because although I do think that although the Witcher and Deus Ex games for example aer good I do find the combat in them a little tricky in places especially given you do battle on your own in those games. Whereas in ME and DA you're part of a team which takes the strain off of you a little bit as it then allows you to focus moer on the strategy rather than just trying to stay alive. I probably do enjoy the romance probably moer than the combat especially the more comical ones such as Garrus's. But other than that I think it's pretty much the same.

1) Main story of the game

2) Squad mates

3) Roleplaying & decisions.

4) Romances

5) Combat

6) Exploration

Somewhat like that.

I think exactly the same thing. I don't really like to spend hours exploring. I like a good story, and exploring and doing most side quests can't bring me that. Combat is a good and exhilarating way to pace the story, but exploration just feels like a drag. It's interesting to see exquisite worlds and landscapes, but overall, it's just eye candy. If there's not substance in there, I will just ignore it, like I do most of the time.

I love the romances, for the same reasons @BraveVesperia pointed out. It's interesting to make you character more human, and that's a big plus for me.

I also love to roleplay.  So I want to feel as if I am actually the character and not just someone controlling them.

My memory must be fuzzy on ME1 then, my bad. I haven't played it in a long time but I don't remember struggling with it at all to pause and issue orders or to handle the combat right from the start. And I do remember quite clearly going through the tutorial area in ME2 and getting really annoyed real fast about it. Took me some time just to figure out how to move around, jump the crate,... Then, I couldn't hit the droids right, ran out of ammo, almost died and everything felt painfully different and I almost stopped playing right there. After that, I just stopped trying to play it right, my goal was to avoid any combat if possible.

A coherent and well-woven narrative that best utilizes the rich sci-fi ideas established in the first game. If they can provide a great gameplay experience, I'm all for it, but I enjoyed the hell out of ME1 even with it's clunky gameplay, so it's not a dealbreaker for me.

Basically, more of the awe-inspiring, sci-fi feeling of ME1 and less of the shooty-shooty-bang-bang, tacticool EPIC!EXPLOSIONS Call of Duty BS they went for in ME2 and ME3.

What is important to me:  Proper grammar

If you are going to paraphrase with the conversation wheel (nothing wrong with that) then the paraphrase text should use proper grammar.  Even if the character actually speaks with improper grammar, the paraphrase text should at least be correct.

On another note

ITS NOT "HAVE GOT" !

I DON'T "HAVE GOT" JACK **** !

I DON'T "GOT" JACK **** !

I "HAVE" Jack ****.

I mean I trust games to at least do their  their/there/they're ,  your/you're ,  to/two/too , and then/than

But that extra step is only cementing bad behaviors in the audience... and driving me insane...  I will DESTROY YOU!

After playing DAI, I think my main concern is a well-structured story, one that will be thrilling from beginning to the end. The first half of DAI was so cool, with all the confusion and the uncertainty and Corypheus maintaining his b.a. villain image. There was lots of wonderful tension and antagonism. >:D Tension keeps things interesting.

The part of DAI that disappointed me (as I'm sure it did many) was it's ending, specifically the battle with Corypheus (honestly, the after-credits scene with Solas was the saving grace). I think the reason the ending was so lackluster, was because all of the built up tension from earlier events was spent at the Temple of Mythal. The Temple was awesome, but since we defeated Cory's crony (either Samson or Calpernia) and foiled all of Cory's plans, there was nothing left for us to do with him. Sure, we had to kill him, but there was no big risk that came with the Big Boss (like the Archdemon having his darkspawn army kill everyone in Denerim, or the Reapers winning the battle against the united fleet over Earth.). Dare I say, there was not enough drama. There were certainly attempts at it, but they felt like an afterthought (and some potentially dramatic things weren't even mentioned). The Breach being opened again made little sky islands, sure, but it didn't do anything else. Or if it did, it wasn't shown. Breach not doing anything = no big risk = importance of beating Big Boss immediately nonexistent.

I think I digressed. Basically, defeating the BB wasn't a big deal and that was disappointing because it felt like other stuff in the game wasn't a big deal. The reason the ending was lackluster was because all the excitement was spent on the mission before. Don't do that to Andromeda. Structure it so that it's exciting/interesting from beginning to end. The Mass Effect trilogy did a good job with that, so please carry it on. I put the story on the same level as character development (definitely number one).

The characters, a deep and interesting lore, exploring urban environments ala The Citadel or Illium, and the combat from 2-3. As long as all four are in Andromeda (to a lesser degree with urban environments given the setting and improved, more RPG-intensive combat), I'm set.

I wouldn't say resource management was a huge part of ME1 or ME3. It was however a big part of ME2 and people hated it.

I don't think most people want to see something like that return in Mass Effect. I highly doubt the resource management aspects of Mass Effect was much loved, especially not how it was managed in ME2.

I'm pretty sure the hate was pointed at scanning planets, not really resource management.
I understand not everyone like it but I find it quite important considering the context in MEA (like the resource gathering episodes in Battlestar Galactica). While in ME2, considering Cerberus huge pile of resources, it felt kinda pointless...

Most likely the combat and exploration. I enjoyed traveling in the Mako.
