Just bought it on the Xbox Marketplace in the UK.

Unless I'm mistaken, on Origins you buy it, and then it'll have a "download now" button after you confirm payment.

I don't see it on my Origin (yet).

Why won't they give the exact release time for all the platforms?

Judging by previous releases Origin will have it in around 4 hours

Bioware gives the release date, but online stores update at different times which is not not up to Bioware so they don't tell us the times. Origin and PSN don't have it yet. Both will likely be a few more hours. Have a nap and they might be up.

I'm guessing 4-6 more hours for Origin, that'll nicely sit it at an hour either side of 4 am my time

Seems about right. Origin gets it around 6 or 7pm UTC+1

Guess that's why it wasn't there when I got online with my PS4 this morning.  I'll try again tomorrow.  Not done with Hakkon yet, anyways.

 

Thanks for the info guys.  I'll just note that release dates are probably one day later than listed for me (Sony user on East Coast who does all online stuff early morning)

For those of you in the SCEE area of PSN, it's not out until our regular store update tomorrow (usually in the afternoon. But sometimes you get lucky and it springs up earlier)

DLC on the Xbox One is usually released on Mondays, around 6:00 PM PST. (Or at least that's when I've been able to download them in North America.) But for some reason, The Descent still isn't available and its achievements haven't even been uploaded yet for the X1.

 

I checked several times yesterday evening up until 11:00 pm and it never appeared. I just bought in online from work this very morning around 8:00 am EST (give or take a few minutes), so that it would be there when I get home this afternoon.

Dunno where you got this information from. I've been following news regarding this DLC and haven't seen anything like that.
