It's a shame she doesn't have any unique skills to her class....

It's like she is the Costco version of DAI:MP character.

No new skills, no voice and no unique character model.

I personally find the no voice hilarious. Lobbies are so much quieter without all the "over here!"s

Even with that, they could have taken some time to give her some communication like clanging her weapons together.

And then you are kicked by three Silent Sisters because they wanted you to come to them and you ignored their long frustrated staring :/

Jokes aside xD must be strange to have three SS in group paired with a Zither! >.0 Zither! is such a blabbermouth :o

She's Krogan Vanguard: average+ damage (unless Reegar), high survivability. One of the strongest chars, but no stronger than Reaver, imho.

Well apparently she's OP. Maybe she needs a nerf on her guard generation for less survivability. Note: Players who tell me she's OP have high cunning, and no CD on hidden blades / throwing blades could indeed make her much more powerful than intended.

Flow of battle is OP on her for people with 200 cunning just like any on other character with FoB. Otherwise, she seemed to be fine to me when I tried her in beta. Survival is good but not too good. If she gets cornered and knocked down, she goes down pretty fast.

Yeah, the new dagger is a treat. Say you have two and each can proc with 10% odds. You use your own Hidden Blades, getting 9 hits. On average one of these should proc each dagger, giving you 2 more sets of HB. Each of these launches another 2...

IIRC identical masterworks don't stack. You'd need second a dagger with a different hidden blade proc, like say one with 4 additional hits and one with 5 additional hits to make the set up work.

Ok, thanx. This does not remove the high odds of infinite (the real To The Death) HB loop from a single dagger though.

they might.

i think people said the thorn's guard stack.

in sp they stack chance. so if you can get two. you'd have 20% to proc the masterwork.

and someone with a high crit can have hidden blades and throwing knives with a low cooldown all the time.

the knives hit 5 times.

and blades hit 6 times.

it can get really out of hand.

someone suggested a bell.  I hope they retroactively add a bell -- a little bike bell.

And then you get into spinning blades, and nothing is ever on cooldown and you just spam away. I for one am glad they threw in spinning blades, I've never had any use for it before this and it looks awesome.

They don't stack.

Actually, I think they sort of do, but not. See, the 10% proc chance in the first place only accounts to a bit less than half of your basic attacks. Having two such daggers technically does double the chances for basic attacks.

Abilities, however, I think are based on one dagger or the other. Flank Attack, for example, is based from the off-hand dagger, taking damage and procs from the dagger equipped in the off-hand. Twin Fangs, conversely, may count each dagger as a separate point of damage, and may then proc each strike separately. That one seems a bit unlikely though. Have not tested Twin Fangs enough to know. I can say that having Gift of the Talons in the main-hand never proc'd Hidden Blades with Flank Attack on the Assassin, versus off-hand that did.

My point is that, while they don't stack, I am pretty sure they are counted independently.

I've said this so many times using the Gift of the Talons. And using that mage's staff with (something something Veil) Veilstrike on my Keeper with Veilstrike. The latter however, agitates me a bit because it's an absolute waste when it does proc from Veilstrike.

Weapon ability procs can activate on all your basic attacks and abilities, not just the ones with the weapon that has the proc. Identical masterwork effects don't stack. Therefore, using two daggers with a 10% hidden blades proc will not increase the chance to proc hidden blades.

Ah ok. It was strange that Gift of the Talons would not proc while in my main-hand using Flank Attack then, but it was likely just an observational error on my behalf then.

I thought no one else was going to catch onto this... Like seriously, who cared all that much about the silent sisters in Origins? They were just one of the enemies you could face in the Provings in Orzammar.

It's totally an excuse not to have a voice actor, and to copy and paste old skills over. Why else hasn't Bioware added any of the NUMEROUS maps from single player yet, things like that? I'll tell you. EA hasn't given them the opportunity, or Bioware themselves are becoming lazy.

By the way, anyone who doesn't think she's the new Arcane Warrior on steroids is just dead wrong.

I think it's pretty hilarious she has war cry and war horn

She also has "Turn the Bolt", and the description says "Your expertise with the shield protects you against ranged attacks from the front."

Umm...SHIELD, you say?!

That is reason, why I always pick War horn,'cos when 4-5 shielded guys team up,it's the only way to survive some serious gangbang.

I wish everyone would stop blaming all biowares crappy decisions on EA. Bioware isnt a slave to ea. They make their own decisions. Fan boys seem to forget this when their beloved company makes questionable decisions like shutting down patch support for 2 entire platforms.

Silent sister is a reskin of the alchemist visually. She has had skills and mechanics copy pasted from other characters. She has no lines. You cant even press f4 with her because nothing happens.

Pala was shovelled out to keep us happy. She is fun for sure, but its very obvious that she was pasted together for the purpose of just having a new character. Hopefully we will see new skills and new characters, not just cut and paste jobs like this.
