The Empire Strikes Back
The Phantom Mence. Greatest Star wars movie or Sci-fi movie in general

Episode 3.
"So this is how liberty dies. with thunderous applause..." *cringe*
After re-watching the entire series half a year ago, I must say my preference shifted from Episode V to Episode VI. Episode V is awesome in that there is a lot going on in it, but in Episode VI there is a lot of moral questions raised, and everyone's acting in the Luke-Emperor-Darth scene is beyond perfect. The actor playing the Emperor, in particular, simply shocked me when I was watching the movie last time: I doubt anyone else can make him look so evil and, at the same time, humorous as this guy.
So, my preference list will go as follows:
Great:
1. Episode VI: Return of the Jedi
2. Episode V: Empire Strikes Back
3. Episode IV: A New Hope
Good:
4. Episode I: Phantom Menace
Meh:
5. Episode II: Attack of the Clones
Bad:
6. Episode III: Revenge of the Sith
A total disgrace to the series, IMO, a typical "popcorn" blockbuster without too many redeeming qualities.
I must admit though that my dislike here might have something to do with the age. All other movies I have watched by the age of 14, so perhaps I wasn't so cynical back then and was easily impressed. Episode III however I watched when I was 18, and I already was quite a critic and expected a lot from movies I watch. Looking back, I am pretty sure I would hate on the previous two episodes too, had I watched them much later the first time than I did.

A New Hope is ultimately the best one for me. Empire Strikes Back is a close second.
Return of the Jedi.

You have chosen...poorly.
Obi-Wan: YOU WERE THE CHOSEN ONE!!
