Illum isn't in asari space its in the terminus systems.

Actually the lore says it on the border between the Asari Republics and the Terminus Systems.

That still means its not technically in asari space.

Ilium is still an asari world, its market niche was being the gateway to Terminus but safe as the rest of council space. Anyways they are one system or so away from the rest. I didn´t see any joint strikes by council fleets or armies anyways. Krogan and turians fought on Palaven, yes.

It´s rather likely that the Catalyst knew of the final component, probably even from the dudes who modified the project to incorporate it in the first place. Or the prothean scientists or someone inbetween. Only counter indication is that it didn´t do anything to secure the final component aka itself. But well, it´s the catalyst a giant black hole of plot devouring. I mean it would somehow make sense to secure itself ASAP as its hardware is probably located somewhere on the Citadel.

Yes it´s a bit odd that the asari sent nobody when the other three council races meet. Only explanation I know would be BW budget reasons. Why pay for a VA and time spent on including an asari envoy when she doesn´t have anything meaningful to say anyways.

Oh Cerberus got it because the asari didn´t send it out to the crucible? Well what´s the point in sending it to the project if the people familiar with it are on Thessia anyways?

Cerberus would have caught it on route then. It´s Cerberus.

I find it hard to believe whoever wrote that line had nothing specific in mind about such preparations.

The Asari are the reason the Reapers won in the Milky Way galaxy. Let em rot.

How very dare you. Only Asari should be in the ark. They're the epitome of civilization and good looks.

Let's say that the Council is building the Ark for the 3 major races : the Asari, the Salarians and the Turians. In secret of course.

But when did the Asari cared about humanity  ?  I don't think so that the Council is building the Ark for Humanity or for the Krogan.

Let's say the Shadow Broker might be know about the Ark project and only Liara knows about that, but because the Cerberus is in the picture it's a huge risk to explain the Ark to Shepard.

And so there is nothing left now but to "steal" the Ark from the Council, ride it and get the hell out of the Milky Way. And here starts Andromeda.

When they stopped turians from conquering Alliance, for example.

Seriously?  For a species that can live for 1000 years, Asari can be astonishingly immature.

Bring them along if you must, but don't sit them next to me.

You can't have only asari because if you do, the ardat yakshi problem skyrockets.

They can capture natives or other... fauna.
