Well I'm still playing (realllly taking my time here) and yes. Descent is definitely my favourite DA dlc. It's just gorgeous!
So how is The Descent?

Being gorgeous is nowhere near a good enough reason for me to like a piece of content. It was gorgeous though, as most of the game's environments are. Also, if I was still halfway through the DLC, I would have also said it was awesome. But it went... downhill after the beginning.
Ah... so many puns with this DLC.

I posted earlier the other reasons why I like it, just adding gorgeous to the list.

From a story continuity standpoint....does Descent fit better before or after the final battle with Corypheus? and does the story really want you to complete it once you've started it or is it something that would make sense to begin at one point and return later to complete?
It sounds like the enemies scale with your level to some degree, but is there any point in the DLC where they are vaulted to a specific level regardless of your own inquisitor's current level?

It's a self contained story.
I would say it's better to do it a bit later in game , not at lvl 12 when you get Skyhold .
You get some lore informations making some minor conversation/revelation in Dragon Age Inquisition , almost pointless.
You can start and stop , I imagine you can headcanon some reasons , but for the flow of the main DLC quest I don't really recommend that.
I did the DLC at lvl 27 , it's the cap , from what I've seen everything was lvl 27.
Now I've read about someone who went there maybe level 13 and had to stop and level up elsewhere because it was getting more difficult.

Almost no interactions with your companions.
Ugh. And here I was hoping to see more interactions.
I really need to ask, what level of interactions are people excepting in these DLCs?

Well like DA2 DLC , you had a bunch of brand new party banters , comment on the scenary + comments during cutscenes.
Also small companions quests.

If you think having "race selection" which amounts to little beyond aesthetic differences and half a dozen throwaway dialogue options is worth sacrificing so much character content, then I hope you're happy with abyssmal single player MMO that we've been given.
The problem isn't race selection itself, the problem was that it wasn't planned from the beginning and was a late addition

I agree that having more party banter is something that needs to happen, but I can actually see why after the whole banter bug fiasco
But from what I heard Varric does have a lot to say in the DLC and that there is scenery comments like JoH

After DA2 there wasn't a large outpouring against it cause it would have just been following on from that game.
There was large out pouring on here before the game was moved back.

The DA2-esque mobs in combat totally killed this DLC for me. So. Freaking. Tedious.

Yes, I would have bought the DLC if it was like Legacy. I watched a let's play to see if it would be to my tastes but the banter is mostly between the temporary companions which leaves no replay factor. Legacy I played over and over to get every party combination for banter, comments, quest input, etc...Descent seems like it's mostly combat though it does look more interesting than JoH for me and it's beautiful to look at.

Yep. I agree. It isn't that it's too hard to kill them all, it's just so goddang long. I feel like I have to pause in mid-way battle to do some knuckle popping and finger stretching and maybe a little pep talk. Ffs it's tedious.
What I popped in here for, however; is anyone experiencing a bug where a party member goes -or gets sucked into- this dark room? It happened three times in this dlc. Once to my Inquisitor, once with Sera and once with Dorian. It seems nothing is in the room and the stuck character can move around fine. They're just all alone and can't get out. With Dorian, he was lying prostrate on the ground making pained sounds and his health drained for no reason at all, but he never died. It was the strangest thing. I would have to restart.

It was just more of the same following on from DA2.

Finished the DLC now.
I does reveal some interesting facts about lyrium and also raises some interesting questions about red corrupted lyrium.
But as always, there are more questions than answers, which is a really cheap writer technique in my book.
I'll give the DLC this: The fighting was interesting and well done. The story? So-so. Evironments become a lot more glorious the further you are in (although for honesty's sake, it's require dI mention I'm not a fan of the deep roads look). I can forgive companion interaction not being there as I understand why, except for varric. There's so much stuff he should reply to but nooooooo.
Also, one cool piece of dialogue from the inquisitor I chuckled at near the end of the DLC:

Legacy had already been mention, I think. It does not have to be as 'social' as ME3 Citadel, but at least some sort of character-specific content and\or input is a good thing. MotA banters were numerous and awesome too, and the 'almost-rescue' scene alone worth the whole DLC price.

Inquisitor: "They're still coming?! How many of these things are there?"
Vivienne: "These are the Deep Roads, dear. What did you expect?"
Inquisitor: "No way. I'm changing the odds."
Varric: "I like the sound of that. What's your plan?"
Inquisitor sets Willpower to 1000000.

I am enjoying it so far. Had to of course start it for the first time with my dwarf warrior who has done everything in the game other then complete Well of Sorrows bit and the final fight. She has already completed Jaws of Hakkon.
Would you be so kind to tell me whether you got some special reactions as as a a Dwarf?

I haven't played a dwarf, but I've heard (from other dwarf players) there are special reactions as well as special dialogue for dwarfqisitor.
