Well, this is about the longest I have stuck around a fandom/community and I must say - BSN certainly has its moments. Most of my experience has been positive; even if there was a point of contention between me and another member on a particular issue, we would always talk it out like people instead of getting into an internet shouting match. Although truth be told, I dont usually hang around fandoms/communities and I do go out of my way to avoid conflict, so make of that what you will

 

But I do like it here most of the time and the vastly major part, I do like the people I see hanging around here too. This is not too shabby. For the moment.

As for the topic, the Bioware fanbase is far from the best in the world. More like one of the worst. They're right up there with Nintendo fanboys. Most of the time they refuse to listen to any criticism on their beloved "company that can do no wrong."

Just because most of us aren't whining about every little detail of Bioware's games 24/7 like you do doesn't make us blind fanboys.

It just means we can enjoy a game even if it has a few flaws.

I saw you talking crap on a gamespot post in an article that was about bioware and cdpr devs actualy congradulating each other but you being the bitter little bio hater that you are had to take shots at bioware while missing the point of the article in the first place.

There are people that take this WAY too serious.  To the point it gets kind of disturbing/cringeworthy.

 

Aside from that I agree.  From some of the other forums I have been on in the past this place is nothing.  Every forum has its share of "those people"

There are some wonderfully insightful and hilariously funny people here, unfortunately there are many more hypersensitive posters incapable of objectivity, angry trolls determined to spread misery, or people who's apparent objective is to devolve every thread into a bitter social or political fight.  OP, if the current state of BSN impresses you, you would have been in heaven four to five years back when a dozen or so Bioware employees would be actively engaged with the fan base on a daily basis.  It's kind of sad to see where it is now, with its general lack of civility.  But I'm glad some are stepping up to make you feel welcome.

Yeah, like with Mass Effect 3: the ending, lack of dialogue wheels and journal are only 3 flaws. The rest of the issues boil down to nothing but personal preference

In a way. But note it is a by far a more annoying site as people are restricted by Mods. As a result Tumblr truly earned its infamy.

As with any bigger community there are good and bad apples to be found. I found a lot of people to have interesting discussions with during the time I posted more often, but since I don't have much to say about either of the two big IPs anymore I mostly hang out in The Lobby. Although I'm not around there as much as I used to either. 

 

I just hope most people here try to be nice and respectful to each other, now and in the future.

You all are very nice and helpfull when we ask questions and most of you are mature and don't go on massive rants like the Bethesda board lol. Some of the people that have been helpfull to me are Storm2006,C0uncil0r Tev0s,themikefest,Quarian Master Race and sHotgUn Julia are just some of the ones who have helped me and probably you too so thank you Bioware Fans!

 

I... really thought this was sarcastic at first lol WOW! I'm glad you are having a positive reaction to BSN Personally it is only the second forum I've ever participated in (the other being an anime forum populated mostly by women and gay men) and it is about 95% nastier/ruder lol Sometimes I just have to get up and walk away from the computer because I read something so disgustingly vitriolic I didn't even believe a sane human being could hold that kind of opinion (usually about women, minorities, or gay people).

This is the first forum community I've ever participated in. I'm not sure I'd know.

 

In general though, I like this community, flaws and all. I've met some warm, funny, utterly charming posters on here.

 

A few of those have disappeared without a trace, unfortunately.
