Does it make more sense to do the Descent DLC after the main campaign?

Agreed I think with the exception of the final DLC which I assume involves Solas's disappearance which will take place after the main story thje other DLC's will be up to you as to when you wish to do them although they wil likely have a recommended level like Level 20 for example gfor the Jaws of Hakkon DLC. I assume this one too willikely be somewhere around level 20 as well. Don't know for suer though. Downloading it now but I won't be playing it until I do my next playthrough

I'm looking for opinions from an RP perspective, by the sounds of it, it makes more sense to do it before the elven temple, since the story behind the DLC is that one of Orzammar's Lyrium tunnels has collapsed, allowing Darkspawn to man an assault. Orzammar is providing lyrium to the Inquisition. Any assault that the Inquisition has planned for Corypheus would be undermined by a lack of lyrium, because both mages and templars need it.

maybe I'm not exactly suer where it shoy7uld be done or how to start it given it's not showing up on the war table or anything like the other DLC did.

Even after you defeat Corypheus, it still makes sense. Whether you recruited the Templars or the mages, both need steady supplies of lyrium.

I don't know what Descent involves because I haven't played it yet, but I have speculated that it could take place after Wicked Eyes, Wicked Hearts because it allegedly involves some earthshattering secret about Orlais, and if you had this secret at Halamshiral it seems like you should win the whole Game with it. But again, not sure.

This could also take place after Adamant, and especially if you allied with the Wardens and have them clearing out darkspawn in the chore table operations.

This could also take place after the deal with Kal-Sharok depending on Descent's storyline.

Or it can wait until after the world is saved.

Don't know where you've heard this, but it's 100% false. There's a revelation, to be sure, and it's pretty earth-shattering for dwarven Inquisitors (still academically interesting for non-dwarves, but not as mind-blowing), but it has nothing to do with Orlais.

You might be confusing it with Jaws of Hakkon? That one had a revelation that was pretty important for the Chantry, which has its highest figureheads in Orlais, but again, it's not about Orlais itself, and neither does it have any influence on the Wicked Eyes/Wicked Hearts quest.

Both DLCs don't affect the main quest in any way, and can be played before or after it with little difference but for a few lines from the Inquisitor (eg, if you play it pre-Cory your Inquisitor will say "I can't die here before defeating Corypheus" - if you play post-game, they'll say "I didn't defeat Corypheus just to die here").
