NO MORE DLC INQUISITION EXPANSIONS FOR XBOX 360

I am extremely disappointed in your decision to discontinue patches and DLC expansions for the Xbox 360.
I have been a loyal consumer in supporting your creations. When Inquisition was released I paid the full price plus the cost of an internal hard drive upgrade. The sum of over $160.00. I willingly paid the extra $100 since the game could not be played without it, cloud storage being incompatible rendering my gold membership useless.
I justified the price in support of you, your company.
I later purchased all upgrades and expansions. I found myself ecstatic when you announced the future to release more.
Overall, from past dragon age game purchases to the newer Inquisition, I have invested $400 for you.
Now, I am disheartened to see that you are, "encouraging" me to spend more since any future expansion will require a Xbox One to play.
So, lets say I buy a used console for $350? I'll also have to repurchase any upgrades and expansions. Are you truly asking for $450 more of my hard earned and saved money just to play a $15 expansion?
I don't know what to say besides that I feel like my money, my business, and my loyalty, isn't good enough for you.
You'll have to forgive me for being frugal, responsible, and by your standards, poor.
Shame, on, you.
Consider any future transactions on my part void.
I'm sorry we have to part this way. I really wish you the best because Dragon Age is a beautiful world that you've created.

Well, I guess even a master race can say something asinine.
Hitler didn't say or do anything wrong though.

My point, don't shiv your customer. I am in customer service. If I ever told a customer that the product they purchased from me was suddenly useless and to continue use they had to buy a newer model I would be out of business.

Not going to tell you to buy a PC - just here to point out that for 600$ people can get decent enough equipment that should run the game at least somewhat higher quality than old consoles. Also - good computers hardly cost 2K, and they don't necessarily have to be gaming-specific. I spent less than 1K$ to pretty much fully upgrade my PC for work-related reasons, and I can play new games on ultra for hours with no problems whatsoever.

I don't expect anyone to get it, his fashion sense and ideals were two centuries ahead of the time.

Yep sadly Bioware decided to abandon lot of players. I just hope upcoming DLC's don't have anything important story and lore-wise.

One could only assume that no further DLC support for last gen is due to Bioware possibly doing some big things with story-intense DLC.
Who am I kidding Bioware are just lazy.
Story-intense wouldn't be problem, but having lot of characters in screen same time would be and apparently Descent has those. Though that's not something Bioware just had to do, it's what they wanted to do. And it doesn't still explain why they dropped patches on old gen as well and why item pack and multiplayer DLC's aren't coming to old gen anymore either.

Can confirm. Definitely a lot is happening in this DLC, not just in terms of some lore/story reveals or amount of cinematics, but action-wise. Rather doubtful some older hardware would be able to pull it off... Especially the Alpha Emissary fight. Holy cow.

I'm not a programmer, but I assume it's probably because there are some essential changes to the code in the game that involve content (or groundwork for the content) that is DLC-specific.

it could have just been they looked at sales data for previous gen dlc and found it would be a net loss to continue support.

I haven't finished it yet, so I don't know everything that will happen, but up to the point I am, the only thing I noticed is more enemies on the screen.

I watched some let's play and my impression is... well I fell asleep watching him heck tons of enemies with tons of hp for 15 minutes
I feel that Bioware's got the whole "more enemies on screen" thing implemented and applied totally wrong - again. Feels like too much enemies with too much hp that make fights long and tiring.
Could just be me...

It isn't just you. There is this one point with waves of enemies and it's ridiculous. It isn't that it's challenging, but the enemies have such deep health pools that it takes an incredibly long time to defeat them. This one enemy (won't mention because might be spoilery? Not sure, better safe than sorry) anyway, his stupid barrier would regenerate after you knocked his health down a bit. It was such a long battle that at one point, I almost turned the game off and decided to play it some other time. The entire time I am thinking, "Please tell me this sort of thing isn't why they dropped last gens?"

OP I do understand your point and I agree that it wasn't classy from BW to develop a game on multiple platforms and then ignore for the DLC people that purchased the game on those last-gen systems.
However purchasing a new gen game on the old system wasn't a great idea to begin with.

Yeah, I don't know why someone would purchase a game released for a console they own without having the foresight to know they'd be dropped without warning.

Oh Triss c'mon
(btw you are awesome) it's EA you know how you are dealing with! OP is right but let's be honest if they are releasing a superior version for the current-gen console you are taking a risk by purchasing the last gen version of said game. The move was an evident money-grab by BW/EA to maximize their profits from people not willing to upgrade their systems straight away.

Well, how can I debate with someone who thinks Triss is awesome? It's obvious you have great taste!
On a serious note: I don't think it's an unreasonable expectation to purchase a product and expect for it to be viable and supported along with it's counterparts. I can almost guarantee that if they knew their game was going to be unsupported after one story dlc, a vast majority would have never bought It. It's also a reasonable assumption that if they had a new gen console, they would have purchased DAI for that instead and if they don't have a new gen console, it's probably because they don't have spare money to buy one, or else they would have already.
They got the shaft, unfortunately.

Technically, there is a cross-buy program for Jaws of Hakkon, so you wouldn't have to "re-buy" that piece of DLC.
http://www.dragonage...oss-buy-program
I would note that you were going to HAVE to upgrade at some point if you wanted to continue with the series. I can guarantee you that DA4 will not be released on XBox 360.
Also, you don't HAVE to buy the new content. Fans have this weird expectation that they HAVE to get every bit of DLC that comes out, like some weird obsessive-compulsive that needs to flick a light switch 25 times or their mother dies. Just Youtube it, or save your shekels for the day you're going to upgrade.
If Bioware had been smart, they would have declared DAI a next-gen exclusive. As it is, you got the base game and you got Jaws of Hakkon. I don't consider you particularly hard done by.
