It seems like all I run into is the male version of the original six character, everyone forgets about the females!
Now what is your favorite kit, it doesnt have to be from the original six, but any female kit!

I have a love/hate relationship with the Cabal. Any success I've had with her is to treat her as a soldier with biotics: I max Health, Nightshade Blades (a must), & Biotic Focus. I use Poison Strike just for getting around the map.

Human Female Adept.
I actually only spec into one of each of the humans because I'm too lazy to use both. I picked 3 male and 3 female back when I started and it has stuck ever since. I never really respec those classes so it's no big deal to me.
I use a Male Soldier, Engineer (first kit I ever played!), and Sentinel.
I use a Female Adept, Infiltrator (easily my least played human), and Vanguard.
Engie Girl - the male skips the drone, and since I've discovered the joy of said drone, he stays home.
Strip Tease Sentinel - the male never takes his off, where's the fun in that?

and yes the asari adept is a great choice
My human engineer is female. She's a Lancer totin suicide dronin tech 'splodin beeyatch.
Those are some nice intermissions in your gameplay video. They really help make a point and get your attention.

I only have two of the vanilla humans deployed (Engineer and Sentinel), both male. Apart from Shepard, the only female human I've played is the N7 Shadow.
I mostly play non-humans; and of those, my favourite females (my favourite characters overall, actually) are:
QFI: long-range shooting with an SR or scoped AR.
QFE: cryo debuffs, techsplosions, pistol kills.
AA: biosplosions and true scrub-style stasis-shooting.
AHI: Dark Channel spam mixed with mook-shooting and armour-exploding. DC hit-and-run deals with Phantoms.
well i refuse to call them "kits" because that is an idiotic name. however my most used female character is the shadow.

Asari Commando and Huntress are my favorite female kits because lots of biotic explosions and I like their voice sets more than the Human Female. I also like the Valkyrie because of the hilarity of her melee build, and the Human Female Vanguard because she sounds far less annoying than her Male equivalent.
