I found another. If you take the quick travel point at the warren and hug the wall past the lift going down, you will see ledges you can fall on. Follow the ledges down and you want to land on a bridge with 2 barrels. from there you can see the 21st blood stained gear and should be able to carefully jump from ledge to ledge to the bottom where it is.

 

 

I may have found your 22 jilinna. From the warrens ft, the the wooden bridge that splits off to the left. Before the ladder there are ledges that go off to the right. Follow those to where you can jump down to a broken bridge section then you can find ledges that take you back underneath the wooden bridge you originally crossed. And it'll take you on a path straight to it. You'll pass some of those round chests and I think two supply caches.

Edit: this may have just been an alternate route I took to your 20th.

I'm in the Bastion of the Pure trying to find the last gear there, I have unlocked and explored both the excavation areas, but still missing a gear.

there was also 3 or 4 around the area where you fight the waves of enemies until you blow up the rock, and there was a gear on the right hand fork on the way down to that area.

I have to wonder why BW can't just have things like these be marked on the map to begin with if you make the quest active.

I agree I am still missing one from Heidrun Thaig, I got fed up looking and finished the dlc.

Maybe I could get some help here. missing one gear for the Warrens and I cant find where it could be. I have the whole place opened up and the only room I cant get into is on the right side path of the bridges.

 

Any idea which gear I could be missing?

I have all 22 gears from Heidrun Thaig and all 8 from darkspawn warren. Some how I still need 2 more gears to open the seventh gate.

Sigh...I am still missing 2 gears in Heidrun, and I have both of the ones people have made maps for.

There isn't one in the fifth room but just outside and to the right of it (the direction my character is facing) is one!

I found it! (Yay!) so for anyone who doesn't yet know after you go through the second door make an immediate right, climb up the edge and that is where my 22nd was, wish you guys luck happy hunting.

After hours of searching managed to find all gears, but is there another door to open?!! There is no quest marker to "open the door" so, why the "extra" gears? ..or maybe there IS another door, but I am just blind

There are only 9 doors. Rest of the gears are just addition.

Ok, I'm still missing 2 gears in Heidrun. I did the 3 listed in the video and I did the one that's half way down the king's monument. I can't find any others.

 

I'm also missing the Ninth Door. I've opened all the others. I did the one that you guys marked above as the Ninth, but that can't be the Ninth because I've already done it.

 

I also don't know where the location of the On Broken Knees Quest is sending me? If anyone has answers for that one. It'd be great.

I just found On Broken Knees, so just in case you haven't gotten it already. I think you'll find your last 2 gears there too if you haven't yet, since they're in this area (northern Heidrun where there are 2 gear doors, one leading outside). When you go outside and start getting the search circle around the radar map but it looks like there's just a ton of rocks, you may see the outline of a gear through them. You have to kind of jump on those rocks and head left. You can't climb all the way up them but you can drop down to a ledge where that first gear outline is, then climb up an easy jumping pathway to a second one and a campsite where the quest loot can be searched up.

I can confirm the 9th door has no gears behind it. Only lootfor Orzammar. I'll take a screen shot of that door when I get home. Also, thanks loads for this post. I'm only two short now, instead of five
