So I need 3 hidden blades fulstien velvet, 3 Guard silverite, Unbowed Vulcanic Arum or pull of the abyss naverite, and 1 of the walking fortress'.

Anyone got any ideas on making this more fun? I hear gouging your eyes out is a popular choice

(on a side note is there any better spot to farm fulstien velvet aside from that one small group in the emprise?)

Jaws of Hakkon is your best friend. Most, if not all, of the Fade Rifts drop fade-touched metals, and you can farm the rift remains like chests (leave one item behind and re-zone). In addition, one of the chests at Ameridan's shrine can be farmed for Hidden Blades Velvet.

Jaws of Hakkon is the only way to get guaranteed drops of the Fade-Touched Materials you listed. If you don't want to buy it then you have to truck it out with the normal farming methods.
