The ME's have been some of my fave games, if not the fave series i have done. been through multiple playthroughs which i never normaly do and will be doing more. the one thing i always thing upon finishing a run is "i wish i could carry on".

the mix of action and rpg in these games is fantastic but one thing that i associate with other rpg like entities is "the grind" style elements. for example, take borderlands, you go through the game, do the story, get your guns and level up. same as ME. something else you can do in said other title is go back to areas and bad guys respawn, sometimes stronger, sometimes the same, but giving an enemy to fight. often with no other point than to fight them over and over. and some loot. what interests me is the option to go back and keep fighting.

what i would love to see in a ME world is respawning enemies in locals that provide a good fight. loot isnt a necessity and it doesnt even have to have an anchor storywise because it would be after the main story is finished.

imagin  being able to revisit all the merc bases in ME1 or N7 fights from ME2/3 over and over. or if rannoch had moons with geth on, not attached to main campaign but giving an enemy stronghold to hit simply for the sake of combat.

ME1 had pinnacle station and ME3 had armax arena. even a galaxy map with multiple arena style locations would be great. maybe an arena in every hub (like omega or noveria or citedel). that way there would be cause to keep using the ship and travelling around the galaxy.

TL:DR

would love to see post game, respawning rpg/mmo raid style action. if ME3 had such content i could see myself playing for many many many hours after completing the "story". with the potential of the new hardware, bigger galaxy maps with repeatable "instances" would be a possibility.

just my uninformed baseless dream of the ultimate ME game with no technical foundation or knowledge of game development.

but it would be sweet.

yes theres mp but its not the same. no squad control, reliance on other players and a decent internet. i like the mp and would like to see it in the new game bt im predominantly an sp player. would just love to stay in the world as long as pos and have reasen to return.

I agree but whether or not it's changed I'm OK with it. Who knows? People might've missed something (not the completely missable type of thing, like some achievements. Bragging rights.) and want to see/get them without starting over

It depends on the enemy, and whatever story that these raids entail. In ME1, I would be slightly annoyed if I returned to the warlord's base on Nonuel to find that the exact same enemies are there, despite wiping them all out prior, because the warlord was the only reason they were out there in the first place. There's no good reason for his outpost to suddenly be swarming with mercs again. If I destroy the Blood Pack base on Zada Ban, it shouldn't suddenly be rebuilt like nothing happened. DA:I kind of does this with Valammar, since the dwarves and darkspawn in the thaig constantly respawn, but I don't particularly care for this.

Nope I hate respawning enemies. Worst idea ever. When I clear a zone I want it to stay clear! (aggressive species of local wildlife doesn't count)

It seems like what you are asking for is the option to replay specific missions without having to restart the game or reload a save. I would like this option as well. It makes sense, as good as the Mass Effect trilogy was there are some missions which I would love to replay over and over without having to reload.

I think it is unreasonable to expect single player games to have similar end game content as multiplayer games. I would love for there to be minigames independent of the main story like fighting and gambling etc.

Before we talk about post-game content can we talk about perhaps getting an endgame that actually takes our choices into effect this time? We've had two games in a row, ME3 and DAI now where the point of the game was to gather strength for a final battle and then that wasn't really accounted for at all outside of a lame, binary highscore system that meant two versions of some CG scenes or in DA:I just a bunch of NPCs representing a faction you aquired standing around but nothing more.

Also, there's something called NG+ in ME3. You should try that. It gives you access to weaponry above rank V, so even if you imported and reached level 60, there's still more progression with NG+.

Mass Effect isn't an MMO.  There really isn't "end game" content after you beat the game.  We will get DLC to extend the life of the game, and ME:AMP will be in the game after we beat it.

But I hope this game takes awhile to beat it, and I hope MP is challenging.

i wasnt asking for repeatable really story missions though that could be interesting. tbh i would just do a new run through for that. and i also know of the NG+ which isnt quite what i was getting at. thats a story play through when what i was thinking of was more combat for combats sake without starting the story again.

@N&jamaican, i understand ME isnt an mmo and nor would i want it to be, that was just a term that came to mind that described an idea. it would appear you guys dont like the idea of repeatable "mobs" though what do you think to the multiple arena aspect. armax was, imo, a great addition to the game. as was pinnacle station to me1. another option i suppose would be the multiplayer model but with your ai squad. sort of a hoard mode.as iv said im not knocking the mp at all. i rather liked it. im just anti social and like to play sp more :)

@n7jamaican i also hope this game has a good number of hours in it. many many many hours :)

I would imagine those Vault Raids(from the leak) will be active post-game since it sounds like they're optional, plentiful and come in multiple levels of difficulty.
A dev recently tweeted that the combat in ME:A will be very much like ME3 so I would love a good deal of combat-oriented content after I finish the campaign. The combat is the best part of ME3 IMO so I have my fingers crossed.

Well, I was always advocating for proper mod support for ME games, which could have mitigated this issue. There is at least Deager's CItadel Epilogue mod these days, if you absolutely want to play a part of the game after the ending.

That said, if you just want to use your leveled up guns and character, there is always NG+.

For me personally, I don't care about it so much in the ME games. I have never really seen the gameplay content that divorced from the story itself and the fact that enemies level with you anyway (and thus make the leveling not about gaining power but rather gaining options), I don't see how going back to maps, you have already finished will give you anything particularly different from NG+.

Yes!!  The team that came up with the ME3 Co-Op play are unrecognized heroes, in my book. I never was so easily hooked on MP play before. I can never thank them enough.

Good news, then, if ME:A combat = ME3 combat.

You already have az offline mmorpg called Inquisition. I guess you want it with guns and space too.

More changes after the course of the year an half after the release of the game  in maps or mods in the multiplayer part and a huge dlc expansion in the story would be great.

Pretty much SP DLC and MP/MP DLC is the end-game content.  I hope BioWare can pump out some free DLC like TW3 did.

Never gonna happen. Have you seen the Inquisition DLC? $5 for $2 content.
