Question for DA lore junkies, does anything in the jaws of hakkon dlc say anything why the weapons glow like a star wars lightsaber? Did the avar grab like a huge piece of lyrium and fashioned it into a sword or something?

The hakkonites weapons are made of ice took from the magical barrier, a codex entry says the ice grows again in the barrier but the piece who was cut never melts down, probably the hakkonites found out that earlier and they spent some time crafting their weapons.

They all have Master Frost Runes equipped.

I think they're supposed to be blue because of ice magic, not lyrium. They do seem a bit too sci-fi for my tastes, though.

 

Actually there are lyrium-infused weapons in the new DLC, and they do not look the same.

Uh, Andromelek, which codex entry?  I mean, I collected a bunch in the dlc but never read them. The avarr's lore don't interest me much except for the whole blue sword part. Makes me wonder if they are sci fi fans or something lol.

I would expect there to be one, but I didn't have time to get far in the DLC last night. So far I found that staff and a bow. Both Tier 4 schematics.

There's sword and maul. But none looks like this. They just look like your regular weapons (they don't have imbued lyrium).
