First, enable show hidden files:

Second, exit out of origin, and close the client completely.

 

Next delete this folder's contents:

C:\ProgramData\Origin\Telemetry

 

Delete the entire Origin folder if you're having trouble.

 

Restart Origin and DAI without anything else using your network, and it should help.

 

If necessary, repeat these steps after shutting down, waiting 5 minutes and restarting your router.

I have tried this (even deleted the whole cache at some point), along with a great many other things including opening ports, disabling upnp, adding dai in firewall exceptions...And yet, problem persists when trying to connect with some friends. Oh well.

Thanks, for this info, will probably solve some issues. The connectivity problem is largely due to small player base and lack of regional servers I belive (try as you might connecting 2 people between continents is difficult. So even if you get into the session often times it'll rubber band like there is no tomorrow.

Player server hosting whilst welcome as a game feature feels archaic in the age of cheap cloud computing. Most problems can be worked around by better matchmaking/host making logic though it would seem.

Yes, that's normal.

You just deleted the old bloated file to make Origin create a new one.

If I understand correctly it,among other things, maintains information on how to best connect you to origin servers and other players. When you delete it forces origin to re-evaluate that. I'm being simplistic tho and since I never read it's contents I might be totally full of it.
