Yowch.
I played the single-player campaign on Normal mode and found it difficult in places. Heck, in ME1, I kicked it down to Casual when I got stuck. Playing SP on Insanity would have been utterly out of my reach. So should I not have started playing multiplayer?
Your remark implies that multiplayer is only for those for whom SP is a walk in the park. I couldn't disagree more. I'm with Shinobu, who upthread stated that MP is for everybody. This is why there is more than one difficulty level.
Fear not, we are not looking to clog up your Gold lobbies with new players who aren't confident in Bronze yet. We're going to start new players in Bronze or Silver and let them rise up to a level at which they're comfortable. For some players, Bronze will be that level, and that's absolutely fine. MP is for everybody.

I played SP in normal mode as well and spammed the pause button throughout. I completed one Insanity playthrough of ME2, but I had to do the Warden Kuril boss fight 40+ times before I beat it. I thought MP would be too hard for me and was intimidated to try it. Once I tried it I spent 400+ hours on Bronze. Now I'm a decent player who can hold her own in a Platinum match, though I prefer Gold. Not all of us are blessed with 1337 skillz, but that doesn't mean we can't enjoy MP and be a good teammate.
I just want the SP players who have unreasonable fears and prejudices against MP to see what a great addition it is to the ME franchise.
Seriously, this game and you guys have given me a great deal of joy over the past 3 years (with a dash of aggravation) and the madness should be shared. ![]()
