I figured we could use a thread where people showcase livestreams. I finally have less-potato internet so I can stream in some low-quality stuff where I do mods and mod testing.

Like the one I am doing right now:

(8/12/2015 11:00AM MST - ModMaker Screenshots 1.7-2)
Edit: Done now.

Anyone else do live streaming of this game? What's the best setup for this?

List of streamers and their channels:

Every live streaming thread gets locked due to it not adhering to forum rules. Not exactly sure how to get around that. I'd recommend posing a forum question or something that would start conversation but Im still not sure if that would allow this to not fall into what would surely be a locked thread. Just letting you know in case you have time to update the post to include discussion.

Sigh... Wish I could stream. I doubt my boiled potato internet would collaborate.

Was not aware of that. Oh well if it gets locked, biovar pls.

What's a good setup for streaming though? I don't know a thing about streaming in terms of bitrates of video audio encoding etc...

I have done it before but I would not be the best one to answer this at the moment. I have been trying to get my hardware to work with the youtube live stream and have been having a lot of issues with it. I do have Twitch but...Im slowly moving away from Twitch as Youtube lets me connect with my subs right away as opposed to having to send them over to another site just to watch me play or whatever.

Your settings seem to be really good though as your live stream looks excellent so don't think you are not doing it right. It looks really sharp, clear and good on my side.

i think streaming is going to be hard not to forget to mention the fact that it all depends on your corresponding connection to the host. Even though you have a good connection it might not go well with the host depending on the conditions.

Well I always host so... that's not a problem. I keep the upload rate about 1mbps less than my full upload rate. I used to play with less than 1mbps upload so that should be fine.

OBS software has a very detailed guide on how to setup your stream on its page. Check it out.

Interesting. I've never seen that happen before.

I do stream too occasionally at http://www.twitch.tv/kaxas92 -- sometimes on PC (ME3MP, usually Venom stuff - not amazing quality, but it's "watchable") or on Xbox (Destiny mostly, but anything goes, really). I may/might stream a Destiny raid duo tonight... we'll see.

Once backwards compatibility will be a thing for ME3, I do plan to broadcast some Thundadome solo/duo streams. 1v1 me y'all.

Hi Kaxas. Yeah, everytime I posted a live streaming thread it always got taken down and I had seen many others as well. Do you know of any live streaming threads that are up still? If so then maybe we can take what was done right on that thread and suggest it to Mgamerz in order to keep it going. I personally like the idea of a streaming thread where we can all list our channels to the OP and he can add people's streaming links.

No, not really. In fact, I don't remember seeing a livestream thread for a long time. Those that I've seen back then just slowly died with the loss of interest rather than got locked. But yeah, I agree on a collection thread to list some active streamers, since it's always nice to have such a list.

I made a stream thread a while back and it went on without an issues (locking and such).

I rarely stream now because I'm not sure how much interest it'd attract at this point in the game's cycle. I use Shadowplay to stream and it rarely causes any issues with my framerate. The stream quality is usually quite good too.

Why would such a thing be against the rules?  It's free publicity that generates interest in their product.  EAplz.

As far as I recall, the only livestream type threads I've ever seen locked are the thundadump stuff, and nothing of value was lost.

I myself have streamed only a few times, usually just when people request it. I use OBS, it seems to have fairly minimal system impact, it's easy to configure, and the quality settings are customizable.

My memory is a bit different you see.... Sure they've locked all of my thunderdome streams but also locked and/or deleted all of my solo live stream threads that weren't thunderdome and even the live stream thread of me showing the PC community AIU and the venom when the dlc first came out on console a day before it did on PC..

Yeah I remember that. Seeing TheNightSlasher's thread though makes me think maybe the mods have changed their minds about streaming threads.... Not sure.

I am going to be streaming on YouTube once I can get new hardware for it. With my current setup I can do Twitch. I won't be using till a week from now though.

If this thread does become a list of streaming sites for ME3 then you (Mgamerz) can add my twitch channel.

If anybody happens to be interested, I'm starting a duo stream with TheNightSlasher, we're trying to sub-14 a challenge from the Duo Challenge Thread. Lord Venom Returneth, namely. :)
