Car_melts_in_Italy_3404492c.jpg

"The astonishing moment a car melted during an intense heatwave in Italy has been captured on camera by a British holidaymaker.
John Westbrook, a 48-year-old from Folkestone, Kent, was shocked when he found plastic dripping from the Renault Megane.

The car had been parked in the coastal town of Caorle, Northern Italy, when temperatures hit 37C (99F).

Mr Westbrook, a taxi driver, told the MailOnline: “We drove past and just couldn't believe what we were seeing. Bits of the car were literally dripping off on to the road.
“Even bits of the bumper were melted and the wing mirrors were starting to buckle,” he added.
“I guess the moral of the story is don't trust French cars.”

The weird thing about this is that is was only 37C (99F), which is hot, but not melt a car hot. Maybe the whole thing is a metaphor for yuropoors not being able to handle heat.

LOL2

It can reach 110F here. Our best days in summers are 95.

In other states 120 and 130 F can be sensed in afternoons.

Even here in Canada we'll break 37 C and I've never seen a car melt.

Sounds like they need to build better quality vehicles that can withstand heat.

The humidity and heat index also plays a roll but I've never seen a car melt like that here in the armpit of America.

Lol wut?

I mean... Here where I live it's like 40ºC to 43ºC and never, ever a car melted.

Poor excuse for fabrication, I bet.

Medium hype on a fake news. Where I live we can even have 38-40°C, and we have a lot of humidity, and cars' plastic doesn't melt.

I bet something reflected and focused the sunlight on the car, like a window from another parked car.
