A KotOR remake (using the current frostbite engine) would blow that dumb FVII remake out of the water

I hope the remake would be similar graphic quality like mass effect 3...
when i think about the remake of kotor, i imagine that they marge kotor 1 and 2 storyline together in one game. and i would skip the option to switch party members that you could control...in mass effect you only control the main character...also i would like to see more alien species from star wars univers like: Cereans, Duros (like Cad Bane) , Chistori, Verpine, S'kytri, Nautolans, Chiss, Mirialans, Zeltrons ... 1 or 2 of these species as a new party member would be great ...
also would be nice some spicy love interest to
interesting that so far bioware didn't make any of his games any option for a (3some) love triangle... in dragonage we saw male-male, female-female, female-male bonding, but not female-female-female, female-female-male, male-male-female,male-male-male...
it would be the most difficult task to achieve so everybody wakes up with a smile after a busy night...
don't know if my ideas would ever reach the makers, but would be nice if the game would have 1 of these ideas in it at least

@Scell:
If you like Mass Effect & probably also like SWTOR, im currently doing an Overhaul (http://deadlystream....1673-jorak-uln/)
that purpose is to enhance visuals to a similar degree. All textures, particle effects are redone from scratch, and animations, cubemap reflective surfaces have been added.
The design choices are inspired by these games and the movies as well:
(the panels shown are all fully animated up to 81 pics)

Additionaly, Darth Parametric on Deadlystream.com is doing some fantastic Face/body models, including various droids like HK.

Jorak Uln,
I took a look at your links. I'm not sure why you shared them, but i think they are from kotor. they are the best examples why i wish to upgrade the game...we can clearly can see that the object are too angled, and the light-shadow dynamic not realistic enough, like in the mass effect 3... the back of a room should be darker so you could barely see the corner of the room, or the light strong enough to barely see the frame where it is coming from (window, neon sign, electric barrier)...
also would be nice to have more interaction with object:
bump in a chair it moves with a sound effect, or if it not movable then the character gives out some noise or a curse that he or she got a bu-bu, because it hurt a bit
walk in a puddle and the water makes some small ripples ...
there are small visual and sound effects that could make a game more realistic even if we don't pay much attention normally, but on the whole it makes the difference in game experience.
i understand it takes a lot of work to make these details in any game, but a beautiful graphical game with a strong story line, like kotor is worth it to play it over and over till you drop dead ![]()
of course i would put a bit extra bloody and creepy, gore scenes (like the bone piles we saw under the sewers on Taris)
or give sexy linen to the dancers in the bars, like the Persian dancer would wear. and the dancers should move a little more complex so you wouldn't be able to move an inch for your rest of your life (nude dancers would be too much to ask
)
what i would fix is trying to keep the player in the map like they did in the dragon age inquisition : a sandstorm made the character slow down and if you still went farther automatically turn back instead a panel telling you that you don't have business over the line, or if you fall in the water or a cliff, you climb out on the nearest rock....

Scell,
the reason why i posted some pictures of my Overhaul is to show you what is currently possible to get out of the old engine. Have you watched the vanilla textures for comparison?
They look awful and of course its simply not possible to simulate realtime SSAO and Depth of Field shaders with textures, but it was possible for me to implement the same shine effect when moving like in Mass Effect and to emulate the vector based 2d animations like on computer panels.
Of course it would look much better in Frostbite 3 engine, but
a) i seriously doubt they would rebuild the whole game would in a new engine - with new fighting system, animations etc.
a remake would most likely contain only some small things like higher resolution, some bonus items/quests and all in the same old textures from 2003.
b ) if you want more recent visuals, you really should watch my textures and Darth Parametrics HKs ingame, they look much better than in the screenshots, since you wont have a Frostbite alternative so soon.

Jorak Uln,
You probably right. It would take to much work to use a new engine to make a game pretty, but i still can dream that they deliver the way i wish it...
but capcom did it with the Resident Evil. They used Resident Evil 1 - 2 - 3 and Resident Evil Code: Veronica, marge them together and made Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles where you can enjoy all the stories in one game. It has a Different viewing point and game dynamic, but the really important to me that the story was all there from its predecessors plus some extra... Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles had similar concept in the beginning. My only problem was with these remakes that they made them like arcade games, of course it was still better than a fix camera view style game like they were originally...
I wish:
- marge story lines from kotor 1 and 2 (maybe plus from SW tor)
- new graphic (probably with new engine for Mass Effect 3 experience)
- extra new species from movies-cartoons-comix as crew or/and background
- more realistic body anatomy
- some spicy love interest
- twi'lek women strippers/dancers on every planet/corner
- more blood more gore more unicorn
- save the cheerleader, save the planet !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was thinking what kind of extra story you would like Bioware to make if it possible for KOTOR
If your party would stuck on a planet without immediate escape, what kind of apocalypses should they must survive? :
1 Zombie apocalypses where the dead moves slow (Walking Dead, Resident Evil)
2 Zombie apocalypses where the dead moves fast (World War Z)
Or fast and slow (Dead Island)
3 Animal apocalypses where the animals rise (Zoo, Planet Apes)
4 deadly plague apocalypses where there is no cure (The last ship, The last of us, I am legend)
5 nuclear apocalypses where the people mutate and kill for survivor (Fallout)
or live on Taris after the bombardment by the Sith
6 natural apocalypses where you live through a catastrophic change
- wind goes wild
- flooding (Water world, Killer Wave, 2012)
- climate change
- ice age (2012: Ice Age, The Day After Tomorrow) or survive Luke Skywalker style the cold
- sudden dry season from the nearest sunburst, or the sun start to goes nova...
7 vampire apocalypses where there more blood suckers then food (Daybreakers)
8 alien apocalypses where there is an invasion in progress other then the Sith (Aliens, Mass Effect, Falling Sky, Independence day)
9 A.I. apocalypses where the robots kills the meat-bags (Terminator,Mass Effect)
If you got other alien apocalypses idea you would survive on a planet in Star wars galaxy, let me know ![]()

I just hope they don't release this one on Steam, too. Still have not tried out the KotoR 2 revamp due to Steam only. These are NOT Steam games. Why release an update through them?

If they remade KotOR like the Perfect Dark XBL remake I would be so happy! Basically, everything stays the same except for the look of the game. If we got a KotOR remake where the game-play was the same, everything was the same except for the graphics and maybe the engine (?) then I'd pre-order the most expansive version of that.
Oh, and bring it to PS4 and Xbox One (KotOR was on the OG Xbox).
