Does the Bioware forum have a public developer API? If not, could one be built / exposed?
I am a passionate member of the Bioware community, and I love to stay tuned to all the lastest Bioware news. As with any community, this includes the forum. It would be awesome to be able to get notifications of new posts for forums I follow straight to my phone. One way of doing this would be to write an Android (or iOS / other mobile platform) application to sync messages with the forum. It would also be cool to be able to interact with the forum from this application (e.g. post to a forum, follow a thread, etc.).
Since there have been no announced plans for such an application (that I know of), I feel that a community effort could make this dream a reality. The only thing blocking development of such an application is a public developer API.
Given my familiarity with web technologies, I'm fairly certain I could hack up such an application even without such an official public API; however, I would rather work together directly with the Bioware team / code, and not around them.
PS. Bioware, if you're looking for motivated web / mobile developers to lead such a project (or projects like this), I'll gladly send a resume!!
