Nah, it's still too soon. Unless I see some tweet from Bioware hinting on this, I probably think if we see something, it would be Mass Effect related (which I will be very happy about it)

Mike Laidlaw is going to be at PAX...and he has nothing to do with Mass Effect. There is some type of Dragon Age announcement, we just have no idea what is being announced.

We know it's related to Inquisition, even. It doesn't rule out MP content, but it does specifically address new content for DAI.
Word for word:
Join members of the Dragon Age team for an open discussion about the series, a chance to participate in Q&A with the team, and as a special treat, a worldwide reveal of new content for Dragon Age: Inquisition.

Considering they did NOT do a big reveal at gamescom for Descent, I gotta wonder how big this is.

If there ever is a Solas DLC, it will be the very last one, just as Witch Hunt was for Origins. We don't know if the one to be announced is the last one, but there are plenty of things they could explore - Val Royeaux and/or the crowning of Divine Victoria, the Qunari and, or course, Wolf Hunt.

If so, I am wrong. I hope that it is not MP related though. It's pretty weird to have The Descent and another DLC announcement in such close vicinity.

The DA team has tweeted hints about this. Doesn't mean it's a DLC announcement, tho.
I should point out the leaked survey said "test your might against a battle hardened Qunari army" that does not necessarily mean a full on Qunari invasion.
That's what I thought, too, but then I re-read the survey text and it actually says "Test your mettle against the full force of the disciplined and battle-hardened Qunari army". It could be just marketing speech, though, and the Qunari the Inquisition will fight could be a just a smaller group who were sent south because the Qunari took an interest in something/someone (like they've done before).

Maybe it's because I want to believe it...it just seems like "a worldwide reveal of new content for DA:I" screams large content to me. It would be larger in scale, and while it could have some MP content, I feel like it'll be a expansion/DLC/extension.

I think there is flexibility for this as Bioware Austin produced Descent mostly. This has left Bioware Edmonton free to work on DLC, so think about the gap between JoH and now...it's been a while since that team produced a DLC.
Plus we heard Leliana's VO has been recording etc (just one person I know) but it sounds like big content is in the works.

So it's not clear just how clear the knowledge is that we're clearly getting something?
Exactly! As clear as an muddied lake. Someone is clearly getting something even at PAX. As to what and who is getting what there clearly still is room for speculation.

Yea but, BioWare has exaggerated in the past regarding content. A DND stream said their would be something shown/revealed and nothing happened..

This is a large gaming conference where companies often make large scale announcements. That's completely different than an internal live stream they do every week.
Not to mention the fact that Laidlaw has repeatedly confirmed they'll be revealing new content via Twitter.

So if the announcement is that grand final DLC we're all foaming at the mouth for, what would be a realistic time frame from announcement - release? End of September?
End of October is Swtor's expansion, the thing I'm looking forward to most this year. So a month before at the end of September seems like the right time.

Mark Darrah did mention on his twitter that trailer for Descent was supposed to be shown at gamescom. No idea what happened that it didn't, but there you go.
In any case - while it would be fantastic to hear something about SP DLC most people are waiting for, I'll try and not stay too overly-excited... I mean, this could be anything, including things we may not expect.

Back on topic, they didn't give big 'way ahead of time' announcements for any of their other DLC's, so I doubt it's that. Who knows?

Not only that. I remember tweets saying they're working on something really sad, tweets about hearing american femquisitor voice actor who can sound angry like nobodys business and ofc everyone's favorite new bard songs. That was looong time before the Descent and nothing of that happend yet. I'm pretty sure new bard songs were being recorded even before JoH ![]()

They were actually recorded around the beginning of May, if I remember correctly from singer's twitter.

What about a final dlc as a big expansion with a lot of new items, armors, weapons, potions, tonics, grenades, abilities, hair, tattoos? It's super cool ^^
Isabela, Amund, ZITHER!, Fenris, Merrill, Sebastian, Maevaris, Mabari and others to help the Inquisitor. They can teach new abilities or specs.
Nature, Healing, Virtuoso, Avvar, Spirit Warrior, Ranger, Duelist, all new abilities trees or at least some new abilities.
Bioware, sweet love, let it be true.

I figured something was said, but it didn't seem to be the same huge roll out they're teasing here, but I could be wrong.
