For too long, we've watched our fellow captains and messengers perish to instakill Shadows, towering Pride Demons, mages, and the like on Perilous and above. Far too often, we've had to send letter after letter informing the Inquisition Commanders that yet another soldier has died in vain. Sure, these men tend to be reckless with they're fighting, venturing out into the open and attempting to fight. But they're simply trying to aid their fellow brothers in arms in the fight against Thedas' enemies. That dedication, grit. and tenacity should be rewarded. We here at ICU demand that our Inquisition Captains and Messengers be granted the following:

1) Better Armor (higher armor values that scales with difficulty)

2) Better Weapons (higher attack values)

3) A new regimen they can go through to increase their constitution (more health)

4) Better training in how to deal with numerous enemies at once (better AI)

We will not relent until these conditions have been met. Until then, we will continue to fall on our swords till at least one of these conditions has been met (preferably 1 and 3). Meet them, and we will make sure your agents are properly compensated.

It's funny when you realize they've already been buffed but still get slaughtered. Had a perilous run late last night in FC and the escort popped up in Zone 4.

I was killing enemies, minding my own business, when I hear the captain yelling about how he's getting obliterated. Can't see him anywhere. I look way in the distance and I see he followed our Reaver to the stairs going up to the archer tower. He was spinning in circles while getting pin-cushioned from every direction. Yelling the whole time, but still spinning in place. Couldn't help but laugh as he died.

Just give them death siphon so that at least have a chance to survive if the team is capable of consistently killing things.  That way they could still be easily killed by the enemy rogues but could survive longer with their overzealous attempts to run headlong into enemy groups

This would be nice.

I especially like when you get to them and they are already down to a quarter health.

5) An understanding that when Fire/Lightning is on the ground, that they should, in fact, not stand in it.

On perilous they have less armor (17) than anything else that has an armor value =\= 0

6) Let them start together with the group near the zone door instead of being spawned in the center of the enemy lines. When you are on the battlefield they are sometimes even dead, at least half crippled.

I've had games where they are dead before you can even get to them.  At least make them explode for 20d6 damage on death.

As an agent I can truly appreciate this request.  It is not unreasonable to ask.  I think some training is in order.

BW pls implement.

Inquisition Captains (IC) now receive the following training:

How to craft/upgrade/equip superb armor

Hakkon weapons

Charging Bull

Nug rush (you know that moment when the little bugger just zips away before...)

Leaping shot

Stealth

Spike trap

Guard on hit

2x Health potions

How to use weapons properly

How to use environment cover properly

How to use aggro enemies properly

How to use a controller properly (dat aim!)

How to reload cancel effectively for fastest DPS output

How to solo treasure rooms without dying

Now that IC is ready to kick some ass, add them to the scoreboard. The player community's new ongoing challenge will be to outdo the IC in scoring.  Perhaps IC should also be added to the leaderboards to motivate Medallion to play more (  ;) ).

This actually leads to pretty cool idea...

What if we have an option to revive him like when players are dying :)

I support the above for Captains and Informers.  That Messenger d-bag is on his own!  If I can't kill him, I'll happily let him fall to the enemies of Thedas.  Seriously, I can carry important dispatches for the lady ambassador without being an insulting ass about it.  The only purpose this guy serves is the gold we get if he lives, a small price to pay for ridding the world of this jerk!

Yeah, still seem to have issues with him...I'm working through some stuff, apparently.   :P

I barrier the guy....I may let my team mates close by die but I make sure by god that I barrier the messenger.  He hurts my feelings other wise.

The captains are tougher on Heartbreaker, actually. I saw one pulling off a Lunge and Slash! Of course, they still couldn't take down a spider on their own, but that's a lot better than that torch-wielding sword rush.

He hurts my feelings anyway.

I don't even try to keep these guys alive anymore. Just isn't worth the hassle.

Just try keeping them alive in Nightmare. I've constantly chilled with the captain, keeping him at full barrier as a virtuoso, and he still decided to run across the minefield. RIP.
