You could build a decent machine for less than a PS4... Visit Tek Syndicate's forums, they've got tons of different options. Consoles are nothing but cheap, stagnant rubbish.

This is pretty much the sad truth these days. As consoles become more and more like computers, the question you have to ask yourself is "Why do I need a console that does everything my PC does, only not as good?" In order to keep consoles relevant, they are packing them with features you don't want or need, and even capping framerates on PC games to prevent them from being "too superior" to their console counterparts. We're probably going to see a lot more console exclusives in the coming years, also. And on XBox Live you even have to pay a subscription fee ON TOP of your internet connection, ON TOP of any game subscription you may be required to pay as well.
Modern consoles are a waste of money, designed to milk cash from people who don't know any better.

Mine blew up almost 6 months after me3's release. I went and bought a new one the same day. I was addicted to this game. I do remember that it was a pain to get everything transferred over. Microsoft has made it much easier now.
If it blows up again, I will not buy another. I probably won't get a next gen system either...
