Would like feedback.

Situation:  Pugging Nightmare public, get a good group going, Player uses dragon call in 3/5 gets dash boarded during 4/5 load.

Someone new enters the lobby.

Do you Kick the new member and re-invite the player who used the dragon call??

OR

Do you just say screw the player you have just completed 5 nightmare rounds with and allow the new player to Reep the benefits??

I had this happen last night, our group booted the new player and then I was inundated by incomming messages of "we don't fight fair"?  from numerous people.  WTF is that, "we don't fight fair".  Instead of being a ***** and getting your friends to f@$% with me why not just ask.  "hey why did you kick me?"  Any one of the players would have told you what happened.

This.

And if 4 of you are in the lobby before you start the game, move it to "private".  If someone leaves after game, set public again, repeat.

Or just get on your mic and explain the situation.

I agree, we should have changed it, but we were slaying it and forgot.  I just didn't understand getting spammed by other players.

We were party chat and I was nervous to hit the xbox button to go to game chat seeing as though he was just dash boarded on load & I myself didn't want to lag out.  Love those dragon age servers :-)

Just say "sorry, we're waiting for someone who dced."  We had this happen after zone 4 (cleared zone 4 and the keeper dced). A few guys joined as the match was public. All 3 of us waited and kicked everyone who was joining until the keeper rejoined.

Mind you, this was in a random pug, and none of the other players were on my friends list. We just simply sat near the fountain, without anyone using f4/f2 messages, We just did what we thought was right.

Kick. Sucks for the dude that just joined but he didn't spend that time with your group.

Happened to me last night me being the getting kicked person.  I entered an ongoing game about the same point in time as described, up goes one kick vote on me almost immediately, I just left the game right away after that.  As long as you kick right away, or better yet get on the mic tell the person and then kick or wait for them to leave I'm fine with it.

I am NOT fine with the game or two I've had where I've played two or three full waves with a team and suddenly because 'Fred' wants to join I get the boot.

Except for people that auto-mute when they join a game or just plain do not want to leave.

I have encountered both situations.

I do automute people all the time ingame. I'm willing to join a PS4 party though and I do so often.

To be on-topic: Happened to me both, being the kicked person and the person that votes another one out to re-invite the person who shouldn't waste 20-40 minutes because the game bugs. I'm perfectly fine being kicked in such a situation. That's like I expect being kicked when I join an ongoing game with a level 1 class and going to the fade all the time. Which is, imo, rude.

nobody likes to be kicked off, the wisest course is to talk to the person and ask her to withdraw, if the person does not leave the lobby... oh yes you should kick

Has anyone else on xBox received the "we don't fight fair" when they have kicked someone??  Just curious if I was the only lucky one they decided to harass.

Nope, that sounds pretty polite in comparison to what you could get by kicking someone.  Early in the games existence I put a kick vote on a guy because he was not at all being a team player.  I've never heard a guy go so ballistic over the mic after one kick vote.

He got his friends to do it to..  like xBox messaging warfare.  NEVER seen anything like it.  I even got voice messages from people who don't even play the game.

No, but I recall a few months back this guy got on his mic raging at me to kick this one particular player for reasons I don't know as I just joined the game in progress. I refused and left the game after one wave, don't tell me what to do.

don't tell me what to do.

south-park-do-want.gif

I had a couple of people who were friends with each other try and convince me over the mic to kick the fourth player because his low N7 meant that he didn't know how to play. A quick glance over all three indicated to me that I'd be carrying the inverse of the effort they were willing to put into trying, since none of them had a particularly confidence-building loudout.

In the end, I was right. The two trying to kick the third were maybe 20% better then he was, and all three ended up needing a lot of carrying.

That above story has nothing to do with OP, though. I don't know how the game works, these days, but better to stick a joiner with a minor inconvenience than stick a team player who committed resources to your success with a major inconvenience (that also screws him out of those resources.)

The deluge of responses OP received just convinces me that, coincidentally, the person they kicked happened to deserve it.

I joined a group at 2  and they kept me running till 5 on nightmare and then said at the banner drop we need you to leave so our friend can join.

3 to 1 means aint nuttin I could do. I got mad but was fine on the next PUG group, this game isnt enough to get mad over.

I have been booting people I know who abused the exp glitch quite heavily. I let them get to wave 5 on nightmare and give them the boot. Best used if the glitcher uses their own dragon call.

Kick should be removed after wave 4 ......  just a thought

Also if you make a lobby and are host you should not be able to be kicked as it is your lobby....

Also maybe let the host kick that would make sense as well as drive more players to make their own lobby.

Kick, for sure. If you have the possibility to invite the original team-member, you should do so. If the original team-member is on your friends list, re-inviting him/her is nothing but the expected conduct.

Exactly. And as said earlier, change it to private once there are 4 in lobby to avoid the situation.
