Happened to me last night me being the getting kicked person. I entered an ongoing game about the same point in time as described, up goes one kick vote on me almost immediately, I just left the game right away after that. As long as you kick right away, or better yet get on the mic tell the person and then kick or wait for them to leave I'm fine with it.
I am NOT fine with the game or two I've had where I've played two or three full waves with a team and suddenly because 'Fred' wants to join I get the boot.

I don't like kicking anyone. In public matches I have created it has happened. I will say that I am never the first to skull anyone. Usually it happens when someone is AFK way too long and the lobby gets trigger happy. I have even left lobbies rather than kick. I go start another even if I left my own.
I would/ we would ask someone joining after a party member got DC'd to leave with an explanation. There should be an in game option to change the match from public to private to help avoid this situation. Its awkward at best.
As for letting someone help carry me through to zone 5 and then kicking them for no other reason than hatefullnes, I see that as just anti-social behavior in my book. I would be afraid to enter a movie theater with anyone I knew like that had gone in there. Some people really have a warped sense of self worth.
I have been booting people I know who abused the exp glitch quite heavily. I let them get to wave 5 on nightmare and give them the boot. Best used if the glitcher uses their own dragon call.

Too funny. So far, lunar bar bc and cheat plague have been the ones I have been able to boot. Others high on my list are medalsX, bleeds comments, weeplepeople, impsilva, ceazar milan, shade rocks, sparrows, and Mc Muffin. Trying to preserve anonymity here.

And if 4 of you are in the lobby before you start the game, move it to "private". If someone leaves after game, set public again, repeat.
not really good idea. If one player always left/not good player, then the group is 3 and have no chance for a new public player.
Sooo you're asking the community if you should be fair and just or be a careless dick. Is this a real question? Obviously the right thing to do is try to get the other guy back who rang the sex gong.
I'm not sure how it feels for those with a healthy stockpile of cloth (seriously, I have 60+ Paragon Luster and 30+ one of the leathers, and a bunch of other metals and leathers above 10 but none of my cloths are in the double digits), but I'd say if you used the dragon call then it is your right to fight if the team makes it to the dragon.
Explain situation, kick and invite buddy back in.
