I would like to see a romance DLC. Your Inquisitor works hard and it's time to unwind with their loved one. So, I'd like a DLC where you can go on a date with your romance option and, like in Dragon Age fashion, things go awry and you and your companion must fight together. In the end, even though things got messed up, you both have a really great time.

I've worked out a scenario for those who romanced Solas as well - Solas said what you had was real, so I'm sure he has to miss his Lavellan. Maybe he can contact her from the Fade and you guys can have a little thing go on in there, maybe fighting his personal demons.

I personally love the Dragon Age series because of the romance, and I think it'd be great to reach out to those who play for romance as well.

I'd actually pay good money for a Dragon Age: Romance game.

While I like your idea of a date gone wrong, you're forgetting that romance isn't mandatory. I know I'm the minority, but my canon Inquisitor is single. While I am 100% for adding romance-specific scenes in other DLCs, they shouldn't make one where you need a romance to do anything.

Again, like your idea, but it needs to be part of something bigger.

The reason I play Dragon Age Inquisition (and Witcher 3, Skyrim etc.) is NOT because I love fighting an endless horde of enemies. I'm honestly quite fed up with this.

No, I seek the characters and interaction with them. Dialogues, friendship, romance, solving problems in connection with this. A schematic at the end of a boss fight is really not interesting at all. I'm not a kid anymore. I had my share of christmas presents. And I know Santa Claus does not exist.

Apparently our companions have become Skyrim-esque fighting backpacks in DLC, so don't hold your breath.

I don't see them doing that since romance is optional. :(

BUT I could almost see them doing a DLC with a more "social" mission (instead of just more dungeon-crawling--bleh!), much like how Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts is all about successfully mingling in high society, where we have a chance to have new romantic interactions with our beloved. (Much like how the Lair of the Shadow Broker DLC for ME2 gives a chance for extra romantic interactions with our romance partner.)

Personally, I would LOVE for the chance to get any more romantic interactions with Solas!

(Creators know we get so little in the game as it is!  :o )

I could see this happening if it was part of a DLC that involved stuff with all the followers as friends as well, like Mass Effect: Citadel.

My husband and I were brainstorming on this more.

I agree that it should not just be focused on only romance, as not everyone chooses to have one. So why make it for either a date or just friends hanging out, much like Shepard and Garrus shooting on The Citadel. But just make it longer, like an adventure. You could go up to the companion you wish to go on this adventure wish and choose either the romance option or just to go on the quest together.

They could give it a try ... I would pay A LOT money for a DLC like this.

I paid 15,- €uro for a DLC I know I will like only "a bit" ... How mutch will I pay for a DLC I'm really, really waiting for ....

They made 2 Multiplayer DLC and about 3 patches somehow ONLY for multiplayer. A lot of people don't play Multiplayer ... so ... whre's the problem for a romance DLC now?

That would be really cool! Either way, I long for an adventure with the entire crew. That's the DLC I really want, not these tide-you-over DLCs. They'd be smart to do it after Citadel's apparent success.

There will be a DLC about discovering Solas and what he does/is. Or a hint to what's coming/what he'll do (like Morrigan's DLC). Of this, I have no doubt. If you have romanced him in DAI there will be some extra dialogue, or even another outcome. For sure

The lack of a feeling of connection between my character and the companions was one of my biggest problems with Inquisition and, most recently, the Descent DLC.

If Bioware could manage to give Inquisition the same 'chosen family taking a well-earned break together' feeling the Citadel DLC had I might actually die from shock.

Nah, Bioware now hates cinematic dialogue so something akin to Citadel is impossible and too expensive.

Keira Metz

I know I might get my head cut off in this forum by using an example from another game.

But one of the best experiences I had in a game for a long time is the quest 'Wandering in the Dark ' involving Keira Metz in Witcher 3.

The quest starts with Geralt (you) visiting her home in Midcopse, a small village where she resides after Foltests death.
Geralt is seeking Ciri, and Keira might know something.

When Geralt arrives he finds Keira at her hut talking to a group of village people begging her for help with their problems. The village people leave and Geralt enters the hut. It is empty. Wondering he seeks clues and finds a portal he enters. This portal leads him to an underground cavern where Keira is taking a bath (in quite classy sorroundings). She does not cover her self. Geralt pokes: "You missed a spot..."
But enbough about this scene.

The two are to explore a dungeon to find clues of Ciri's whereabouts. They encounter puzzles and enemies of different levels and categories before they reach what they seek.

My point with this small introduction is the atmosphere you have with Keira. There is a very close and somewhat intimate flavour between the two. Very varm and understanding. There's just something in the air. Including a friendship and mutual respect. But on a relaxed and natural level.

Later on Geralt agrees to help Keira with another quest. When he returns she offers him 'a cosy night'. And it is actually really sweet made. Just like in the fairy tales. An absolute wonderful scene.
After this romance scene Geralt wakes up and realises Keira has used a sleeping spell on him. Off to find her.

When he finds her there is a very personal conversation with multiple option for the outcome. An it is exactly here you get real deep involved in Keira Metz as a character.

This is actually one of the very best interactions I've experienced for a long time in any game. I enjoyed it very much. Funny thing is, when I think of the game I always bring up Keira Metz as the first thing. It's not Triss or Yennefer of Vengerberg who comes to mind, although the main romance is centered on these two characters. Well, yes, they are well made, but they are not nearly as intense and deep as the romance and friendship with Keira Metz.

Everyone is saying they shouldn't make one because romance is optional, so they could just make it the companion which has the highest approval of you or your romance if you have one? Maybe that character can get kidnaped or something??

I'd plunk down good money for any companion-focused content. Probably my personal biggest disappointment in DAI is the lack of said content.

I remember the devs saying that there's more companion content in this game than in any previous DA game, but I can't for the life of me figure out where it all is. DA2 felt like it had drastically more companion interaction than DAI does.

Yeah it could sorta be like the citadel dlc in ME3, where you just this ridiculous mission with former and current companions.

If you don't have a romance then I suppose Varric could step in as your sidekick or Cole, of course you wouldn't have the exact same scenes but they could be a suitable stand in.

How I could see this work: the Inquisitor is invited to the opening night of a special play chronicling the destruction of Haven and their choosing by Andraste, but due to a mix-up only gets two tickets. You can bring any companion you want (though obviously only companions you have currently recruited) or one of the advisors. Much amusement comes from the hilarious mistelling.

At the first act intermission, the Inquisitor either receives a message about some fiendish plot being cooked up at the theatre, or notices some odd magical goings-on. The Inquisitor investigates, and a low XP solo adventure ensues culminating with them arriving on the stage to confront the villain. Upon defeat, they get a standing ovation. The play goes into hiatus because most of the actors were horribly injured, and the DLC ends with the Inquisitor's "date" thanking them for a lovely evening or making some other amusing comment.

Now -that- sounds adorable. XD

I'd honestly love any kind of extra character interaction DLC. You owe Cullen a rematch at chess (or whatever game that was), there's the round of Wicked Grace Varric mentioned. I mean, come on! You can hang out with Sera on a rooftop anytime, why not play a game at anytime with Cullen, Varric, or Josephine? Have a drink at the tavern with Bull or Blackwall? Add some diverse conversation, debate over recent decisions, or personal information from both sides to it and I'm all over it.

I'd also like to see a real party (not quite Lelianna's idea of a "real party") at Skyhold - outside. A big feast day with music, dancing, tournaments/sparring, and cultural themed events. I wonder what Dalish music would sound like and how they party.....
