I would love to see the next DLC be about the Hero of Ferelden during the events or after the events of Inquisition (probably after). Perhaps it could do something with having to end The Calling. It would be a good way to bring back some of the characters from Origins that we haven't seen yet. It'd also be nice to see Leliana and Morrigan joining your party like the good old days of Origins! It'd also be nice for your Hero to reconnect with your love interest, that would be fun as well, kinda like Mass Effect 3's Citadel DLC. What do you guys think?

Will not happen for a whole bunch of reasons — they may be dead, they're voiceless, they may have cheesed off all of their companions, etc. The most notable reason, however, is that Bioware doesn't think it would work.
Mike Laidlaw (the creative director):
I do not feel the HOF would work well as an NPC.

Granted, that's in response to the HoF as a cameo.

I'd love it, but they'll never do it.

I hate the idea and am glad it's most likely never happening.

I like it, but I like one for the Inquisitor, but I agree I don't see it happening

I wouldn't want this either, but I must note that Hawke didn't work well as a companion, either, yet they made him one anyway.
Just felt it necessary to point out a small bit of hypocrisy.
In my opinion, no protagonist should be an NPC, and Hawke shouldn't have been an exception.
However, I will say that if there's any protagonist who would work as an NPC, it's definitely the boring AF Inquisitor. Won't sacrifice any personality because there wasn't any to begin with. Impossible to screw up the character in NPC form, as a result.

I think my Inquisitor is a pretty cool guy. He fights Corypheus and doesn't afraid of anything.

I think we just need to let go of our previous heroes. As much as I loved my old protags such as the Warden, Shepard, Hawke etc. there really does need to be a conclusion to their stories that lets us move on. I think that's something Bioware really needs to grasp too. They keep on hinting at the Warden and Hawke off doing mysterious, dramatic things that keep us wondering. What we really need more of a "they took their LI, got on a ship and went off somewhere to settle down until death". Hey, it's not dramatic, but at least we can lay them to rest and move on rather than keep wondering if they'll appear or we'll find out what happens to them.
To quote Gross Point Blank, "If you love something set it free. If it comes back to you, it's...well...broken."

I had a similar idea recently (posted about it here). Except that the events would actually take place during the timeline of Dragon Age: Origins, so as to not fuss too much with continuity and determinant characters.
In short, though, you would get to play with HoF, Hawke, and the Inquisitor at different points in the DLC. They would each be your player character, so to speak, for their individual storylines--they wouldn't be NPCs.

Except spiders.
For someone so afraid of spiders, he sure does kill a lot of them.

lol.... I'm not sure if you're serious or not, but I love the wording. It's appropriate.
