I'm selling things for literally 14k each but since I might be going mad I was wondering if anyone else found this. The crafting materials vendor either has an insane mark up on sold goods or I have a very nice bug.

Well, considering the fact that I've bought all dragon materials, bought all available schematics and still have over 200k left... I don't think it's a bug  ;)

It looks to be the case. I've seen Hakkon weapons go for 30K at that vendor.

Not sure who made that choice but I officially <3 them. Grinding for money is so boring q.q
Now all I need to do is track down that mail medium leg schematic thingie from the cradle. Whoever designed the loot system? No <3's.

It's a gold rush economy.  The stuff you're finding is worth more now, both because everything costs more, and the shop owners can claim cachet from bandying your name about, as a famous person who does business with their shop.  Trust me, they'll charge you more too, if you ever need anything from them.

Here in America, the gourmet shops carry special imported goods from Britain that are decorated with an elaborate symbol and emblazoned with the words, "By appointment to Her Majesty."  You can buy the same thing in the ordinary grocery store for 2/3 the price, but, hey, you have a plastic bag from Whole Foods.  Can I borrow it, the cat box needs emptying.  It's a tax stamp, it just looks different than ours, which is a price tag that says tax extra.  Sometimes they don't even bother with that and you ought to know that candy and soda pop cost extra in your state because unhealthy stuff costs more.

Dupe. The storage chest at Skyhold allows you to dupe anything. Dupe and sell- unless you want to grind.

Do tell! How exactly do you dupe with the Skyhold storage chest?

In any case, I didn't read the rest of the thread since I don't want to spoil Descent. Not sure whether "easiest" means fastest or with the least effort. There is a super low effort way to make infinite gold even before Skyhold, but it's very tedious. You basically find a high tier chest (there is one in Haven and at least one easily accessible in the Hinterlands) and just loot-1/save scum until you are sick of doing it.

Head over to the Undercroft in Skyhold.

Access the Party Storage Chest.

From your "Inventory", put the item you wish to duplicate in the Storage Chest.

Look for the item you wish to duplicate in the "Storage" sections, and press the buttons corresponding to "Withdraw" and "Back" (in that order) very rapidly.

You should have one of the items you wish to duplicated in the "Storage" section, and the other in the "Inventory" section. You can withdraw the item from the "Storage" section to your inventory.

Dabrikishaws post has it covered. I play on XBone- the only thing I would add is that I press the 'Withdraw' and 'Back' buttons simultaneously. You will hear a weird sound that confirms you've done the dupe properly.

Side note- this dupe glitch also works for Amulets of Power, crafted runes, suits of armour, weapons, rings, etc.. Makes outfitting your team much, much easier.

Yeah it works better to press the buttons at the same time. I only wish it could dupe mats.

Soooo ... won't work on PC without a controller. Oh well.

It works on PC, I just meant it's easier to succeed by pushing 2 buttons at once.

Well, well. It took about 20 tries, but I did get it to work on a PC without a controller. Space bar to Withdraw, mouse down on Back. You have to mouse down/up very quickly and hit the Withdraw right between the down and the up.

Fastest way to get money now is to use the war table in Descent, use the mission that gives you items, set the clock forward an hour and repeat.

And fade touched silverite isn't a problem anymore either.

Before this I used to grind the giants in Emerald Graves. Relatively decent I would say.

With Descent dlc that becomes insane lol. Went today to test it out, killed 2 giants and sold at the Descent vendor. I think I got 30k+ gold :P total. Which is pretty ok considering the giants take me a few seconds to kill (unless all spells fail to crit pff).

There's a repeatable war table mission in Descent that has a pretty high chance of giving you one or two pieces of fade touched silverite.

You'll get better at it with practice. I abuse it so much that my success rate is around 80% (as in I successfully dupe about 80% of the times I make the attempt). It's got other uses too. Made an extremely awesome rogue armor with dragon materials, amazing mastercraft, and it has excellent arm and leg attachment pieces? Dupe it and give it to all the rogue party members and re-tint it so make them all distinct, now all your rogues have awesome armor for the materials price of one. Same for other classes. It better not get patched, DAI is better with this glitch.

edit:

No, people, pressing both at the same time is not better. It's far better to press one just before the other, like the money glitch of DAO and DA2.
