Well, this is all sort of weird. I play as human male, i flirted with cassandra all the way since the beginning, and never flirted with anyone else. Then i did Josephine's quest to remove the assassins contract on her. Then i did the winter palace and, at the end of it, on the cutscene on the balcony, josephine appeared and nto cassandra. I mean, what the heck happened? o0

Josephine shows up if you have not started a romance with anyone. You clearly haven't locked in the romance with Cassandra yet. Did you do her personal quest? Did you have a conversation with Cassandra on the landing above the garden?

Did you ask her to dance? I haven't done her romance but I know with Cullen, Blackwall and Solas you have to ask them for a dance during the quest to get it.

I actually had a playthrough in a Cullen romance where I didn't ask him to dance at all and he still came out to the balcony. So that's not exact

This is why I shell the big bucks for the guides...
Cassandra's personal quests and gift quest need to be done before you get the scene. Plus positive approval, but that's a gimme.

Yeah companions are different thanks to that approval thing. was just pointing out to the person i quoted that i didn't need to use that particular dialogue option in the winter palace for Cullen's dance when they said you did have to. I did have to for Blackwall and IB (as well as their specific scenes and approval beforehand ergh) Almost missed out on Iron Bull's scenes, stupid approval haha
