Folks looking for the easy way. "How can I get 4 times as much as everyone else with a quarter of the effort?" Over a game. That's pretty pathetic and paltry if you ask me. Enjoy your non-achievement. I can only assume the folks that do it are driven by a profound lack of self-worth and achievement in anything truly meaningful. And couldn't afford the sports car to do the more traditional compensating.

My self worth is not defined by how much time i spend sitting on my ass.

If you can take away the repeated endless grind even for a little while i say get it while the getting is good.

Folks looking for the easy way???    welcome to america...   get out from under your rocks the rest of the world would like to meet you.

If you want to do something meaningful go donate your ps4 pc xbox or what have you to a needy family.

Get off that ass and go do some volunteer work with all those extra hrs you have.

Send a dollar a day to kids in the third world...  idc. What you do tbh

But dont sit here demanding bans to dignify your self worth, or judge others for how they spend sit on ass time.

I get plenty of enjoyment from DAMP as it is. Having ban waves would merely be the cherry on top.
Besides, I am just a humble player expressing my humblest opinion on what I believe to be best for our community  ;)

You are totally right, the thing that would improve the DAMP community the most is to have less people playing it. In fact, anyone that has ever used a glitch should be banned. Only the ones who are pure as the driven snow are allowed to touch DAMP

They aren't going to ban or examine the people who have abused the double xp glitch that was rampant last month (though they said they would), soooooo what makes you think they will even pay attention to this?

Guys relax,

it is not a bug or whatnot (although I see attacking beta testers is  popular these days  )

I am 99,99% sure it is just someone playing god with cheat engine

There you go again. If you are going to attack someone's point of view please try to use correct syntax and grammar this time. What has the English language done to offend you so? My apologies if English is not your native language! All things considered, you are doing really well then.

@oringial poster: Bioware will fix the glitch if they deem it game breaking and/or when they get to it. People will not receive a ban for abusing your mentioned glitch, so I suggest leaving the lobby and/or booting the glitcher if you want an exploit free match.

Its a shame the most clever  form of "cheating" or "hacking" seems to rear its ugly head on the PC first. By that I mean someone being able to alter the game mechanics themselves for whatever purpose. Not the inherent glitches or exploit one may find accidently playing any game as has happened more than once on the console versions of DAMP.

When I was playing Diablo 3 on the PS3 many many moons ago, a person joined the "opened to the public" game I was in.

I soon found out the gear he was using was all hacked. It wasn't hacked via the console but the PC version as he was happy to point out to me. It seems the really clever hackers are able to do a hack job on the PC and then infect the console version.

My solution was to "create" my own lobby and set it up for friends only. Problem solved. I don't know how the PC version works but it seems you can solve the problem you have seen by creating your own matches. Unless the hackers have the ability to change the settings and characteristics of your lobby.  Can they?

Hackers can do whatever they want. Well the good ones can. Pc would be easy as it is a hackers best friend

Game systems will fall next. 360 is done already via a jtag. However microsoft bans these quickly they are very cheap and easy to replace.

Xbox 1 and ps4 will be hacked soon as well im sure.

The thing most don't understand is that its not that game devs can't combat this

It is that it cost more money than it's worth. And for this reason hackers will always win.

As you can not win if you will not fight.

I don't know how that exactly works, but I think most things are host dependent.

In ME3 time there was one small utility called Coalesced, which was used to alter ini file of the game. But,it was also a good thing, because some people were able to alter the game in very creative and fun ways-Banshee mod and Husk for example.

If your saying host = leader/creator of match i'm trackin ya.

So in that way it seems like someone would have to create the match/lobby on the PC if they wanted to alter it, as your saying could happen in ME3, yes?

And please understand, my view is, if all parties in a match are in agreement to the "altercation" I could see where that wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing. Its just that in DAMP the pecking order seems to be the most important aspect of the game for some people. All the power needed resides at ones finger tips to stay or go.

Yes,you can track me,but until my dear ISP allows me to upgrade my measly 368Kbs upload speed, there won't be much hosting for me

Not sure what are you asking, but in ME3 if you alter ini file and  host, everyone plays by your rules-someone just makes fully auto javelin and someone puts more work into it.

I'm assuming you wrote all of these bits of true life advice standing up then?

If you break the rules without everyone's consent, regardless whether it is to their ultimate advantage or not, the game stops working as intended. You may prefer to start an evening of Monopoly with 1,000,000$ for each player because it obviously saves time, but many understand the process of getting there as the actual entertainment. Many people do not like that as a matter of principle, and it is quite frankly not theirs to explain themselves to you.

It's funny that you bring Monopoly into the equation.

During the days I was a Submarine ( a long tubular shaped thing with what looks like a fin protruding from the top and could sink on purpose while having the capability of carrying many nuclear boom booms ) Sonar Supervisor, we used to play Monopoly after watch. We use to hand out money just like you mentioned because we had to get games finished up in a hurry never really knowing if there would be drills or what not. We never considered the four to six of us sitting at the table was having any negitive impact on anyone else in the worlds ability to play Monopoly. I guess we were all stupid or something. Without knowing it we could have single handedly started WWIII.  Concepts that make ya go WTF were we thinking?

Genuine kudos for being an awesome submariner. I cannot compete with that. Even though I can hold my breath the longest of all my siblings, and though I also have quite a few siblings.

Respect. I was a CEA (Control Electrical Artificer) in the Royal Navy ... was 40 years ago:). Applied for subs, but failed the test. Served my time on Leander class 2 frigs. Always respect submariners ... hell of a job.

It works both ways on that view.

My point is you cant simply judge a person based on how the play a video game.

Im sure we could all find better things to do with our time.

At least im not out bashing every 1 that took a short cut on a game they bought.

You  can all play how you want. Every 1 else is free to do the same.

If bioware decides to ban i am ok with that it won't end my life.

Its easy to be a hard ass on fourms isnt it? And hey if thats how you wanna get it out your free to do so.

However, in the real world where things matter. I doubt you would have the grapes to say half the trash you spit out here on the fourm.

Hmmmm, gettin off topic here so i guess i can just say it again

No 1 gives a damn how any of you feel about your time spent sitting on ass.

Cause in the end thats all it is.

You are totally right, the thing that would improve the DAMP community the most is to have less people playing it. In fact, anyone that has ever used a glitch should be banned. Only the ones who are pure as the driven snow are allowed to touch DAMP

What contribution can users of trainers offer to our community?
Having a few of them banned would, if anything, result in less hacked Public lobbies, which would then enhance overall gaming experience for most people who play Public games. I can't see that as being a negative thing at all.

It has nothing to do with the scoundrels who deliberately abused the quadruple XP glitch for four weeks, though I wouldn't mind if those were banned all the same, since their contribution to our community was/has been cancerous.

I believe the banning threat can act as a plug of sorts. The use of glitches takes time as everything else on DAMP. So for one who spent hours into this game, the banning meaning all the time spent is lost. A ban or two or three of the truly rampant and the potentials of banning may reduce the abuse even though there will always be one's who push this envelope. It will long ways to heal some of the divisions in the community and let it move on.

I personally think it's pathetic that some people need to use trainers to get through DAMP. They are enjoying the game the wrong way.

That said, I will NEVER "enjoy" ban waves. There is a living person behind that username who spent time and money on this game, just like you did, because they like Dragon Age. I don't see how you can take pleasure in getting someone locked out of their game, just because s/he use a methodology that, at the end of the day, doesn't affect you directly.

Don't like a hacked lobby? Don't have to play in it.

To anyone upset by this: so someone is gaining prestige faster than someone else... how does that ruin your fun? I guess we have to agree to disagree because I don't understand how your enjoyment of the entire game pivots around the rate at which one number increments.

You sound like someone using that go go juice. Say it not so not you Piffle

yWAmDEd.jpg

I'm not calling SpaceV3gan stupid ;), but the topic banning people is something we disagree on. You have a point though, this debate is doing no one any favors, and I should keep this to the PMs.

Edit: tried to correct some phrasing, don't know if I succeeded

BTW, I do mean what I said on the previous post. If people should be banned for using one glitch, anyone who used any glitch should be banned as well. Equal treatment, right?
