Some of you guys do not like analogy, but it really is a great way to compare some concepts and ideals.
Those of you who claim that an exploit is an exploit and it should all be punished or be let go is really thinking about things as "black and white."
In the US there are small crimes such as marijuana possession which fortunately has been decriminalized in some states now and are heading toward nation wide decriminalization. Prior to this people lives were ruined because they would be jailed and their records would be ruined for a small crime. People saw it as a very taxing chore for the state. So that can be related to attack cancelling, a small crime that should be let go. Exploiting exp or using a trainer to cheat is ruining the game for a large proportion of players out there. More than the 10 that xxthat_guyxx talks about, anyways. It is a more serious crime and should be punished.
If we let all exploits go then it would be a lawless state, if we punish harshly for all exploits then it would be a fascist state. Neither are good.
But I assume most of you are from a democratic nation and thus democracy and voting would be the best way to poll the player's base opinion. Unfortunately BW does not have that option at the moment. We are resorted to posting on the forums, going back and forth with each other regarding the subject.
But alas no locking of the forum yet. Free speech for the moment still prevails. I guess even Canadians have to let free speech reign for a short while, sometimes.
