At this point, I almost wish they had just issued a statement like this, "Use it if you please, nothing will come of it."
At least that way there wouldn't be a divide and pointing fingers. People could have chosen not to use it, or they could have also chosen to receive double XP and everyone would have been on the same playing field. No one would feel slighted or like there was an unfair advantage for anyone.
Unfortunately, Bioware came out warning everyone it was against ToS and could result in bans. Billy even changed his picture to a "watching you" image. They then followed this statement up by fixing the issue without a patch less than a week before the patch. That truly puzzled me. Why tell everyone it's not fixable without a patch then hotfix it right before the patch goes live?
All around dropped the ball. But, grand scheme of things small issue. Something to consider for future instances, though.
Well this is better said than i could have put it and to be honest here i have to agree.
That being said i wish every 1 did this glitch but if you did not don't hate on those who did.
Also people got me wrong i did want it fixed asap. I even wrote devs on july 11th telling them how it was done.
But yea i used it and i don't feel bad about it. Also in my thank you reply i was not told or asked not to do it.
I was only asked not to spread how it was done and the word ban was not even hinted.
Also even though the thread can't be found now fidzz said and i quote (if you find yourself in one of these lobbys enjoy the nice bonus because jeff will fix it soon) and no disrespect fidzz but those words were not twisted. I honestly don't see how this could be taken any other way.
Nvm i did find it posted july 18th it was however retracted very quickly. and as far as bans go..
They used the word could..... not will not won't
