How good is the story?
How long is the gameplay of each DLC?
Any new info on current party members? (just a yes or no - no details! )
Any new, albeit temporary, party members?

no, but descent has some guys that stay with your party the whole time.

 

I'd say wait for a discount and buy if you like the base game.

Yes. So far The Descent is lots of fun, reminds me so much of DAO which is probably why I love it.

I liked JoH. Descent looks meh though.

Descent, so far, is better than JoH, but it looks like it's a whole lot more concentrated and shorter. Combat encounters are great, the lore reveals are interesting. Dwarves are, of course, the best. I've played for about 3 hours so far, and I'm not yet to the third camp you establish, so if you're a thoughtful and thorough player, I still think you can get a good 6-10 hours of gameplay from it. That's just an estimation though, you might get more. I got near 12 hours out of JoH.

 

It's beautiful, and a lot of fun. A terrific dungeon crawl.

I just got this for Xbone and can't wait to compare it!

I'm an avid player of the series and have already beat DA:I on the 360 (thank god i didn't buy any dlc, eh?) and with about 200 hours on 1 playthrough.... i took off 3 days of work just to play and then kept on playing

So all that aside, is the DLC worth it's price?

I think both JoH and Descent were worth their price. I'm going to play them so many times so they are going to be worth the money I paid for them.

 

I believe if you had bought DLCs to your 360 you could have downloaded them for free to you Xbox One.

Well that's pretty nifty!! I think i'm going to start my first (all-mage) game tonight or tomorrow.... if Warframe doesn't grab my attention.... or Fallout Shelter....

You can also export your savegames from 360 to your XBox One. I haven't done that because I have been playing DA:I on PS4 from the beginning. When I started to play it back in November, it looked amazing. It still looks amazing but now I have got used to it

Dumb question: Can you put scars and whatnot on your Inquisitor? I couldn't remember if that was PC only or jcurrent gen also...

I have put scars on my inquisitors and vallaslin on my dalish elves and I think I also put valllaslin and scars on my dalish inquisitor so it's possible. If you have DA:I on your next gen console I recommend trying it

Jaws of Hakkon will give you more hours of gameplay, but the story is rather pretty bland. The Descent is fascinating to go through the 1st time, but it is much shorter.
