Does the Dragon Age community have an interest in Twitch?

Hey all, warning and apologies for the tangentially self-promotional topic.

I've been a big nerd for Dragon Age since Origins and more recently a fan of Twitch streaming. I'd love to stream more gameplay of DAI (or hell, Origins too) but it just doesn't pull the same number of viewers as other games. Although I've really tried to push my Inquisition gameplay in the past, the numbers tend not to budge and it's prompted me to wonder WHY.

The initial thought from both me and some other fans is "maybe it's just one of those games people prefer to play rather than to watch" but I really just doubt that's the case. That could be said about so many other kinds of games (especially competitive games, which have the highest viewership).

So, I've come down to two other possibilities and I'd love some opinions on which is more likely or if I'm totally on the wrong track.

1. Dragon Age fans don't realize that Twitch is a place where they could have a thriving fan community

In my experience as a Bioware nerd, I've found that the largest collections of fans tend to be here on the forums, on Tumblr, and on Deviant art. Are all the other DA fans stuck there and just don't realize that Twitch might offer a similar experience? One of my favorite parts of Twitch is the live commentary and conversations with the streamer and other viewers. Having one big live chat room about lore, DLCs, characters, etc is SO up my alley as a fan and I find it hard to believe it isn't what other fans would be into if they knew what it was like.

2. Dragon Age fans know about Twitch but streamers aren't playing/making the content they want to watch

Usually people who are doing replays of a franchise they love, like Dragon Age do some kind of non-standard playthrough. This could either be a speedrun, an "hardest difficulty" run, some kind of themed run. Are these things just un-interesting to DA fans? Is there something that would be more fun to watch? More interactive?

Bottom line, I LOVE Dragon Age with all my heart and I want to stream more of it. But I consider part of my job as a streamer to cultivate and grow my community of viewers so the ones I have always have new and interesting people to talk with. Until Dragon Age can consistently pull and maintain viewers, I feel I'm doing a disservice to all the rest of my viewers, no matter how much me and a few other viewers love it.

Am I crazy? Do you have a better idea? Help! I want to stream DAI!

Personally, I don't watch streams of other people playing games I like because I prefer to be playing myself. My gaming time is pretty limited these days, so I need to make the most of it.

Sorry, I get that this probably isn't what you want to hear :)

there are some people who watch MP.   How many and things like that I don't know, but there are a few people that do stream it.

As far as SP goes, I am unfamiliar with any.

Aside from game conference coverage I do follow a few LPs to find out if some game is worth playing, but Twitch won't load for me 90 percent of the time. I expect YT Gaming to do a better job.

Twitch tackling Dark Souls makes for amusing news, but not much else imo.

I like Twitch and watch it fairly often, but mostly I watch it to see games that I don't own yet or check out strategy games to see how to improve my skill. I watched DAI before I bought it, but I don't watch it now because it's boring to watch the same cut scenes I've now experienced firsthand a half dozen times.

I realize the commentary is value-added for some people, but I don't care about listening to the streamer all that much unless I'm trying to learn new things.

I like Twitch. I also like to talk to the streamer while they play the same games I own.

Sounds like so far the majority answer is indeed that people either don't watch Twitch at all or aren't interested in seeing DA after they've played it themselves.

Sorry, I get that this probably isn't what you want to hear :)

True indeed, not the answer I was hoping for, but I appreciate knowing :)

Thanks guys, the insight is useful!

Not for this game. I'm mostly just a story person, when it comes to RPGs. I care about my own immersive entertainment for 40 hours or so (longer here). Also introverted, I guess... not really into pure socializing. I barely make use of a lot of new social apps and features (especially on my XOne).

I don't have anything against it though.

I've watched the official Bioware stream on twitch a couple of times. It seems like they mostly (or only?) do MP content. Luckily after beating DAI myself many times, I have no interest in watching SP.

Usually I watch streams of games I own to pick up tips I can use to improve, but the guys in the Bioware stream seemed pretty laidback (or bad) and died a lot. It was still a fun watch, though!

There isn't any competitive multiplayer in DA:I and for the matter it is not as good as ME3 multiplayer. Competition brings views, watch all the views that MOBAs get, also fightning games and Starcraft 2 get a good amount of views (especially WCS in SC2's case).
