Hello,
really sorry for my english. I try my best. Hope you understand what I'm writing. ![]()
I wrote this in a other forum. It's just my personal (!) opinion:
"Descent" is a "fighting DLC" and "Hakkon" was just a new, huge area. If I want really huge areas I play Skyrim and if I want to fight I play 3.276 other PC games (and if I want multiplayer I surely will NOT play a Bioware game ....).
I want roleplaying, a great main story DLC, lot of little stories for my companions (Cole, my friend Dorian, my friend Cassandra and, and, and), storys & dialoges & scenes for my romance, emotion, drama, emotion and a Happy End. I want 2 or 3 new hairstyles and a few new options for Skyhold. Of course I want to fight, but within the story and stories.
THIS is what I want ... and what do I get: Multiplayer DLC, few ugly barbarian Items, Multiplayer DLC, huge area DLC (bit boring somehow, with ... boring barbarians), few Qunari items, fighting DLC. I'm (sorry) ... pissed, angry and dissapointed.
Bioware have a monopole for this type of game, like Skyrim and WoW are famous for "their type of games". Bioware is famous for "real good roleplaying games".
Bioware is the only game developer who make really great roleplaying games with a wonderful, emotional story and a incredible "deep" world. Who ever played pen&pen roleplaying games know: The Dragon Age world is so detailed, it could be a P&P world. Respect! A world who are really hard sometimes, but not so depressive like other RPG worlds at the moment (you are dying, we are dying, everbody is dying and screaming and black and sad and dark bubbles ...). A game where the people can choose (!!) their character, even (incredible but true) females. With companions who "live & feel" and wonderful, wonderful romances.
And what type of DLC are Bioware making? New areas and fighting DLC's .... what the heck ....
I'm really, really hoping that one day a other game developer will show Bioware HOW you really use the capacity of a monople. And how you treat your fans.
(But we don't want to talk about "treat fans / customers". Hey Bioware, I will not forget how you treated the fans in your forum (me too, by the way), when MassEffect 3 was released and a lot of people were angry about the ending.)
A other User (DawnlessSky) wrote this about the new DLC:
Yeah it def wasn't worth 15$ . For a "Story DLC", there wasn't much story >.>
And no new companion dialogs except for the line in the elevator and their line when you reach the last area (even checked the file. each companion gets 2 dialogs >.>)
And the "secret" that you discover... you don't seem to be doing anything about it.
"OMG!! This could change the world if we told people... ... ... ... Sooooo, what's for diner?"
Thanks for attention! ![]()
