I have wondered one thing about the PC version of the game since I saw gameplay of it here and there: Does the PC version really have loading screens in the areas you explore? Like when you're just walking about and suddenly - loading screen - for the next part of the map?

I played on PS4 so far but am currently considering to buy the reduced price version to get those PJ/Hair Mods and the cinematic tools. But loading screens in between would be quite terrible for immersion.

I could be wrong but the Xbox One and PS4 don't have them. I can't imagine PC does. Unless they mean the black screen and "Traveling" if you fast-travel, but that's not the same thing. *sigh* I wish I could have more Skyhold outfits and hair...

No, the quick-travel blackscreen is normal. And yes, even things as small as cosmetic mods do make a difference. After all that's your character you'll always look at.

Good to know! Might've been just something on low-end machines or old gen consoles then. But I'm sure I've seen some video with them like this.

Indeed. Bioware doesn't seem to want to let you make characters you want to look at, for how much you have to look at them! (A bit tongue-in-cheek. It's definitely possible to make good-looking people, just not very many. Unfortunately the same can't be said for outfits.) Not to mention the roleplaying possibilities of different outfits etc.

Only loading screens are when transitioning between different zones. You can traverse the entire Hinterlands without a loading screen, but there is a loading screen if you go to Haven or Skyhold.

Yeah, there's no in-region loading screen. Leave the region, load the next.

Imagine the backlash that would happen if that were a thing. Don't worry, the worst you'll encounter is the occasional popping in of textures and NPCs. The environments themselves are seamless.

Happy modding.

Feel so sorry for the old gen console players. I would hate in region loading.

Low end machines. Deffinetly. I have a poor notebook and a good PC, played on both, so I speak from experience.
