So what's the general consensus here? Should the values should be upped to the tens (which is the most favorable course I imagine), switched out for an already existing passive, or changed into something more unique to the character?

While I default to the first option, I think having them changed into a unique character passive would be a novel way of making the passive worth taking. Obviously, depending on what the passives, the placement of it in the skill tree will change. I had a few ideas for some of the characters in the game.

Templar - Valiant Passive

  • Bonus Damage vs Barrier: 100%

Reaver - Wrathful Passive

  • Bonus Damage vs Feared Enemies: 20%

Keeper - Proud Passive

  • Ability Cost Reduction: 15%

Hunter - Seasoned

  • Damage Reduction: 20%

I'm just thinking these off the top of my head, but if the bonuses worked similar to this - and some tweaks were made to the skill trees - it would make players think twice before writing them off.

Straight stat gains begin to lose their luster the higher your promotions. I like the unique passive idea, though honestly I would take a regular buff because I automatically ignore the character passives as is.

The keeper one is a bit excessive, but i quite like the idea.
