Depends on the kits.

 

Some doesn't really require more than gear equipment: krolord/Kroguard for instance. If you aren't OHK them in CC, you are using the wrong build/ weapon. 

Biotic kits usually don't require much, gear wise: ammo (warp/inc) and I'm good to go.

Krosent? Strenght enhancer and I'm ready.

 

Because I pug a lot, usually a level 2 ammo is good enough to finish the match with almost all kits with no particular problem, but I judge the composition of the team every time and ask myself the question "I've gears good enough to carry the team, eventually?" and correct accordingly.

For Gold+ I will generally equip the best III or IV stuff I have depending on the kit.  Have it--might as well use it.  I think it shows the team that I am "invested" in the game and will try to do my part to make the game go efficiently and successfully.  It is as you said in another thread Nightman, it shows "respect" for the team.  If I see PUGs not equipping, I evaluate carefully whether they are actually good enough to not need it.  If it looks like a wipe waiting to happen, I usually leave the lobby.  Sometimes curiosity gets the better of me though, and I stay to see what happens next.  As long as I don't think the host will rage-quit halfway thru.

I've got so much swag in my swag bank, no way I could use it all. Pretty much every game I put on III+.

Even a measly Cryo I makes a difference and gives you occasional 1x6 explosions. If you're slots are empty, I figure you're noob or rude.

I've occasionally dropped a kick on players who are totally empty. But only in the last second or so before the match starts. If they ask I tell them it's because they looked so naked, just giving them something to wear into the match.

Once the match starts, I forget about it unless they've got 10k after 5 waves. Can't resist a question about their weapon. "Hey Deerber, does that gun work?" For example.

I always use consumables. i have much more consumables then i can every use. so then why the f*** not.
