Is it just me, or is the new loot in these 2 dlcs very very underwhelming. I mean whats the point in giving us Tier 4 schematics when they dont have upgrade slots.
Have i missed something?

Yeah, my Champion Inquisitor chooses the T3 upgrade slots over the T4 armor rating.

The shield in Descent is probably the best shield schematic in the game.
The T4 armors in JoH are upgradable, but they share a model with the Superior versions of the armor. The T4 armor in Descent aren't upgradable, but they use proportionally more material in the various slots and offer proportionally better stats. Ditto the weapons. In the end, it evens out. It's only a problem if you want to boost two different attributes, e.g. you want to use Everite for the attack bonus and something else for the sunder on hit chance.
These don't have upgrades any more than any of the faction "unique look" armor has upgrades. You can't add new legs to Orlesian Officer Armor, nor can you add arms to a Keeper Robe. The model they use isn't customizable like that.
