Yeah, it's another dumb question from Beerfish.  (Shades flip down....deal with it.)

 

As the title says, is guard affected by AR?  Or is it just a layer of hit points that gets whittled down when being attacked with no regard for your armour?

Guard is taken after all the defense calculations (such as armor)
Barrier is taken before
